Is this just the pad or the whole tens unit? Do I need to buy anything else to go with this?

This is just the pad you will have to but a tens unit and connecting cables that have snap ends

The pad itself does not use batteries, nor is it self powered in any way. You need the Hi-dow TENS unit to use this or similar pads.

Has anyone used this with the IcyHot smart relief tens unit?

I certainly haven I returned it. The snaps are too tiny for use with any brand of TENS unit that I own.

I have lost the silver backing to my pads. What can I use instead? .
