Don't cloud your hue.
Fantastic manga! This is a prequel to the anime series Psycho-Pass. You'll get to see Kogami's younger days as an inspector with a whole new crew of enforcers! You will see many familiar faces from the anime but if you haven't seen it yet, that's fine too. It's mainly about the new crew of characters so you won't be missing much. I recommend this manga series to any who love Psycho-Pass and Kogami Shinya, or just any others who want to read about crime mysteries taking place in the future. Great series, I have been a huge fan for a long time! ❤️

I loved the Psycho Pass series - it is the absolute ...
Our son is in med hold of Air Force boot camp. Not much around that they are allowed to do. This is one of them. I loved the Psycho Pass series - it is the absolute best anime out there.

The officers of the Public Safety Bureau are like the police
I have not seen the Psycho Pass anime yet, so my review of this prequel book would be wholly pertaining to this manga only. What I gathered from the short intro to the dystopian world is that there are methods to gauge criminal activity and that determines a person's worth in society. The officers of the Public Safety Bureau are like the police, in that they investigate and apprehend latent criminals - but there is a hierarchy within them - Inspectors, who are like the bosses and Enforcers, previous criminals, who are now serving as muscle. The world is such that even exposure to a latent criminal can cause spike in mental activity, thereby making the former as pariahs to society. People balance their mental state with drugs and try to live 'the good life'.Now, as for the main plot, it revolves around a mysterious emergence of organ theft from a hospital. Kogami and his colleagues investigate the appearance of a natural organ (there are synthetic ones in this world too) with a number stamped on it. Following the clues and the path of registered surgeries, they dig to find out who has been stealing organs and where are these numbered organs coming from. The story is fast-paced and exciting, and though only a small part of the mystery is revealed, I found it to be an interesting one. I am, obviously, excited about future volumes, and now I am contemplating getting to the sequel anime pretty soon.

Good But Not As Good as The Anime
Great illustrations, easy to read emotions.Interesting to see the prequel, and the back story. I found some of the dialog hard to figure out who was saying what a few times. I prefer the anime to the manga myself it just didn't have the same fun level.

Good read as a prequel or stand alone.
Wow ! Am hooked, loved the anime and this is a good accompanyment to it as a prequel. But even if you've not seen the anime, it's still holds it own as a story. The artwork is good and the storyline interesting so far so good ....

If you enjoyed the anime
This is the first of 4 manga that acts as a prequel to the anime. If you enjoyed the anime, then you will enjoy this manga. It is a quick read (but so are most manga) and, just like in the anime, there are disturbing scenes that may not be suitable for all audiences. The art is excellent and the story is a page turner. This is the first manga that I've purchased that is published by Dark Horse (they are largely a comic book publisher in the West), but they did a good job. The book book is aesthetically pleasing; however, it is slightly smaller than Yen Press's standard manga size. Hopefully they will do a better job at making each volume the same size which is something that irritates me about Yen Press books.I am looking forwards to the rest of this series and I hope they also translate the other Psycho Pass manga and light novels!
