Best Screen Protector Out There
I was a little nervous about purchasing the iPad mini version as it seems to get low reviews on Amazon, mainly around installation issues. I do already have the iPad Pro version and had no problems with bubbles or markings so went for it anyway. As expected, the screen protector is perfect. Not only is it great for writing on and even sounding like you’re scribbling away, it’s also super easy to install. There’s not much in terms of instructions in the packaging, but it does give you a QR code or link to watch an amusing video on how to do it.I actually messed up my first try, the protector didn’t go straight with the iPad edges, but I just peeled back a little, readjusted and let it gently adhere. No scuffs or dust and hardly any bubbles. And those bubbles were quickly swept away just using my palm. One thing to note is definitely do this in the cleanest, distraction free and calm environment. You won’t want aircon on blowing dust right onto your freshly cleaned screen as you stick it on.It’s too early to tell if it’s as good as the iPad Pro version, but I can’t see why it wouldn’t be!

Watch the instructional video fully before applying!
I've bought two of these now. The first one was a disaster. I followed the instructions carefully but on the last step my Paperlike was so stuck together that it peeled off both layers of the screen protector and while I tried to correct it, it was unsalvageable and made the first one in the pack useless. The second one went on fine but had some noticeable adhesive marks from the first one. After around 4 months - the protector had some noticeable scratches on it from using an apple pencil to paint with which was awful as I thought the actual screen was scratched. Luckily (?) it had only scratched the Paperlike. It seems this screen protector might have saved my screen!I've just made my second order of these and while they are expensive they make the experience of using an ipad noticeably better. This time I got the application completely perfect. Some tips to get it right and save yourself stress and stop you wasting the first paperlike in the box:- WATCH THE INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO- Apply this in a very quiet, calm and clean area. Set aside 10-20 minutes to get it right.- You need to be in a well-lit area to be able to see if the screen is actually clean or not.- Get silicon nibs for your apple pencil to make the protector last longer.

Great screen protector, until it meets an Apple pencil
After only a couple of days with this applied to my iPad, it is completely scratched from a small amount of note taking with a brand new Apple Pencil.Makes the expensive iPad and expensive screen protector feel cheap and beaten up.

Underwhelming poor drop in quality
I’ve used paperlike for years and never had issues. However this is the first time purchasing from Amazon instead directly from Paperlike.Either the quality in the past years has dropped or the Amazon stock has been stored poorly. The pack comes with 2 screen protectors, both of which had markings on the coners as if they had been bent. Which results in bubbles that cannot be removed as the screen protectors are not completely flat.Secondly, the pack itself inside is incredibly dusty and full of white flakes. So no matter how dust free your workspace is, or how well you clean your ipad, when you peel the layers whilst installing, dust and white flakes go flying everywhere.Complete waste of time and money.Honestly the quality is so poor that you’d be shocked paying a few quid let alone the hefty Paperlike pricetag.Very disappointing.

Challenging to apply with poor results
Over the years I’ve stuck with glass protectors on my iPads but using some of the textured films that come applied to my eink tablets made me finally give Paperlike a go.Firstly the application method is well documented but the experience in actually doing it yourself is painful. Screen quality was expected to drop due to diffusion but I wasn’t expecting quite so much or the the prism-like colour effect in places.I really didn’t like the writing experience. Unlike that of the Remarkable or the Boox devices, the Apple Pencil nib just doesn’t play well with the Paperlike texture, with a much higher resistance than expected. Maybe it’s better with alternative nibs.Overall these very expensive and overpriced screen protector spent less than a day on the tablet before they were removed for a glass screen protector. Not recommended.

It’s ok - don’t believe the hype
I use my iPad a lot for digital note taking, so always keen to improve the writing “feel”. Paperlike is perhaps one of the better screen protectors I’ve used for feel, but comes at a cost, it is easily scratched and marked, it’s really evident when the screen is off. I’ve used screen protectors that don’t mark quite as much, but don’t feel as good. Not sure that the offset is worth the premium, nor how the various YouTube reviewers rate this quite so highly, maybe the affiliate kickbacks are high enough for them to overlook this. I probably won’t buy this again when the time comes to replace the screen protector. As per the title, don’t believe the hype….

Worthless, do not waste your time and money
Absolutely worthless. Difficult to install following their video directions. Lots of air bubbles. I damaged the film trying to get them out. The biggest disappointment it that the feel is no different to that of my iPad mini with a glass screen protector installed. No difference in feel or responsiveness at all. Worthless! I removed an binned the first film applied. No I am left with a second one with no intention of using it. An absolutely dismal and disappointing experience.
