Briar Hill 1/2 Inch x 10 Yard Roll Upholstery Tack Strip, Chip Strip, Natural

This is extremely thin. I wouldn’t recommend this for any upholstery project that gets used. In my photos you can see what real upholstery cardboard tack strips look like on the left. The thin item on the right is this product. I would have to glue 3 layers together to achieve the professional structure needed for a crisp line. I honestly can’t even think of a project it would make sense to use this cheap cardboard on. Maybe Barbie furniture? Upholstery is hard work and takes time. In my opinion, using garbage like this would compromise all the hard work I’ve done.

I tried redoing my old chair by myself. When the first attempt ended up looking up sloppy, I decided to try using this roll of cardboard stripping. I have to say, they end result was SO much better. It ended up being really clean looking. And it was so easy to use. It hardly cost anything either. I'll buy it again for my next project.

I was under the impression that this would hold upolstery together. I'm new at this so maybe I'm not using this properly. All I got was a roll of nothing. Someone please help me. Should there be something that is suppose to stick?Thank you to anyone that can help me.

I am an artist. I use the tack strip to hold down my art paper to the gator board. I staple it all around as if in a frame. When the painting is completed, I simply lift the corners and pull up the tack strip and all the staples. It's a great method to hold your paper taut while you work and easy to remove when you are done.

I upholster for myself and didn’t want to buy a huge amount of tack strip. This works nicely. Thinner and more flexible than commercial but I will just double if needed.

It looks like what I removed when I stripped down the chair I am re-upholstering. I am currently waiting for other tools then I can give this a better review.
