Great deal and tough!
Another great Haiboxing brand truck. I have owned several trucks in addition to 1/8th scale race Truggy for competitions. All 3 of my Haiboxing trucks have put a smile on my face. No these are not as fast as my race buggy, but they are more fun. At scale 12 these are perfect for anywhere. Skate parks, ball fields, your backyard, or those lonely dirt roads out here in the desert. Tough as nails. Better quality than Redcat 10's scale stadium truck. In some ways, better than Arma or Traxxas as far as longevity and build materials. Not as good for parts as those brands. You can get every replacement part on these trucks but not a lot of upgrade parts. Be creative. Easy to work on and understand.

Don’t wait! It’s a blast!
This thing is so much fun! I’ve put this in the hands of numerous other dads and they have the biggest smiles on their face when they drive it for the first time, as did I. If you want to do huge jumps (4’+) idk if it can handle it, but I do 1’-2’ jumps all the time, crash into stuff and keep on driving. Get the bigger batteries. Increases drive a LOT. Batteries it comes with are gold, but only last about 20-30 min each. With any rc, you will need to be able to make minor repairs. All issues ive had are just minor and all caused by my driving. A couple of loose screws here or there.Oh….last thing is the bottom blue retainer of shock strut always comes loose. I’ve somehow managed to find them when they come off. That part is annoying, but is it worth the money? To me YES. $/Hour entertainment value is exceptional.

Works great!
I bought one of these because the cheaper cars I bought for my grandkids did not have variable steering. This one does have variable steering and variable speed too. Very good control of direction and speed. But of course that means a lot more money to build them.

AWESOME
I bought this car after doing some heavy research on an electric basher that is extremely durable. After watching Derby City RC on youtube I had to buy it. That dude puts these things through some shiz. It looked very durable, although slower than what I'm used to, (I specifically Bash with 1/5th scale RCs 36cc and up in my spare time). With this HBX 2995 I was looking for a Dog Toy. Yes a dog toy. Hence why I wanted something extremely durable and not too fast. My dogs love it. We have been having a blast with this thing since I bought it a week or so ago. It's reminiscent of watching dogs chase an armadillo around the yard. They get a good run in and have fun while doing it. So much fun that every evening since the first day we ran it they have been coming to me and begging to go out and chase the RC. It became an instant routine with them.Of course I've had a couple issues, since my dogs are biting it and knocking it over, (when they can get a hold of it), but my dogs know to stop when the car stops. So it's not complete chaos. But I've had a shock break and lost a dogbone(rear right axle) at one point. Easy to fix. Used a couple washers to fix lthe busted bottom shock endcaps and the dogbone(axle) was not bent and went right back in easy enough.Longer story short..... Definitely a durable easy to run RC. One battery lasts long enough to give my dogs a nice run and wears them out (15-20 minutes).I would recommend using a balanced charger since these are LiPo batteries. The chargers that come with these bateries/car are not balanced and if you look around you'll see people have had issues with fires. Balanced charging is way safer. It's also easy to upgrade, something I plan on doing later. If you are offroading you may want to get some bigger shocks. For the Price I don't see this being beat.

Good Value Rc..Not the best Customer Service
Let me start off by saying this RC Car is really cool for the price. I have been in the hobby for 20 years, and I've had many hobby grade rc cars, such as Traxxas, Axial, HPI and many other leading brand rc cars. I am pretty experienced and really enjoy my cars, as I'm sure many of you do as well. Most of the cars I own are upgraded and super fast, so I wanted to get my kids an entry level rc car to start their own personal growth into the hobby. I didn't want to "break the bank" on a $300+ Traxxas etc, so I did some Amazon "research" into possible rc cars I could get for my 5 kids ( ages 2-14) and I came across Haiboxing (the cool kids call them HBX 😎) and I also looked at DEERC and Hosim and probably a few other. All of them where extremely similar, but varied by battery end connectivity and Mah size, wich breaks down into run time, for those who don't know. Anyway, Haiboxing was the brand I decided to go with, because the value for the price seemed like the better choice at the time. I really liked the look of the rc car and the extras that came with it. It was really cool that it had an ESC/Motor, Servo, 2 Batteries, 2 extra tires and the LIGHTS. I love lights. Lol. They aren't super expensive, but if they come for free that's a big plus. It has the front lights, "roof" mounted lights and even the rear red "brake" lights. I thought the kids would enjoy that. So with all of the things included, and the fact that you could upgrade the car later, I figured I might as well go for it. I'm a little bitter about the purchase though. When it arrived, we opened it up, excited to play, and I noticed the steering horn was broken right out of the box..the kids where so upset, and I was shocked. I wondered how this could get past "quality control " and I did what any dad would do..I tried to my best to figure out how to fix it. It had no extra steering parts or anything that would help fix it, so I contacted the customer service through Amazon. The car comes with a card that says to email them through Amazon or their email. I emailed them(they are located in China) and it took over 24hrs for them to get back to me. They said they would order me parts and that's all they offered. No partial refund or anything. I wrote them back and forth a couple times and each time it took over 24hrs(very frustrating 😒) The rc car arrived Monday 1/16/23 and the parts won't arrive until Monday 1/23/23 to Tuesday 1/24/23. That's a week+ . Honestly I get it, things take time, but super disappointing and as a father it sucked for me to see the kids so disappointed. I reached out to them an asked if they could provide me with a decent discount on another car if I ordered more from them. I figured I'd give them a chance to provide me with a decent customer service experience. I was hoping maybe 20% off another car..they offered me $10 off another car. I did appreciate that they tried, but to be honest I was also disappointed in their offer and hoped they would have done better. I just wanted to feel helped and valued and I also figured with Amazon Prime 2 day shipping I could get another car here for the kids to play with until the parts arrived to fix it. Let's be honest..could I have returned it? Yes, I could have, but I dislike sending things back like that, because some people that order the same item actually receive the used item you sent back. Most don't, but some do. It took me multiple days to figure it out, but that's what happened to me. The steering servo horn was broken by a previous customer who returned the item. I thought the tires look ever so slightly worn down(just a pinch) almost like the "new car smell" was faded. Lol. You know what sold it for me? What sold it for me was the darn sticker sheet that comes with the car. (Picture attached) it was missing nearly ALL the stickers.lol. I didn't realize it until I already talked to the company and figured why even tell them. They won't do anything for me anyway. They seemed upset that I even asked for a discount to buy another car from them. So...to remedy the servo horn situation I borrowed my Slash 4x4 steering servo horn and used it on the Haiboxing car to make it work for the kids. (My poor Slash) Lol. Anyway, if you got this far, I appreciate you taking the time and going on this ranting journey with me. Let me tell you this... this car is definitely worth the money for a beginner or a 20+ year rc veteran. It has 2 1600mah batteries that are dean, so you get decent play time, and it handles WAY better than I imagined it would. It was my first inexpensive rc car, so I was pleasantly surprised by that. It also has a speed control dial that allows you to dial down the speed for the beginner or younger kid to use. If you're "on the fence" about it, I'd push you over the fence and say go for it and try it out. Even though I dislike the customer service I received, I would still recommend the car and will definitely be buying another one for my kids. I just won't rely on the customer service much. I hope this review helped you in your purchasing decision and I hope you have a blast with whatever rc car you decide to purchase.
