The filters work great & vacuuming the slats inside intermittently between changes prolongs the filters' use. But.... the filter's housing needs to be cleaned regularly as well. I've had my air purifier for a year or more & the air always smells crisp & fresh even after smoking because the machine kicks in to a higher level to pull the impurities into the filters & blows purified fresh air out after
