Great for Home Gym
I HATE reading these reviews where people say... it looks nice!!! Then take a photo of the rack like ooooo look at my new toy. WTF??? I don't buy gym equipment to look nice, I buy it to use. I just want it to hold up to the abuse it is about to receive.Avid gym enthusiast. Bought this because I wanted to save time and money. Gym is always super crowded and I work from home 3 days out of the week, so made sense for a home gym. Don't like writing reviews but I figure I would for those who enjoy fitness. I put 315lbs on the spotter supports and the weight hooks. No issue, No bending. I put the weight hooks on the front and rear of the rack just to be sure. I'm not a heavy lifter but I squat and bench 315lbs so I wanted to make sure this thing won't buckle under the weight. The rack is stable and didn't sway when re-racking the bar with the weight. This rack is easy to put together. Super easy with two people but I did it myself. I'm pretty handy though but if you can put together Ikea furniture you'll be ok. Socket and Wrench set will do. It comes with those cheap ones though. Even better if you have an impact wrench! Instructions are easy to follow. The rack was packaged nice.1. Lay out all the parts first to ensure everything is there. (wear gloves as bolts are very oily... which is good... no rust). Don't tighten all the bolts until you have it all put together.2. Put together the racks left and right sides while on the ground... The plastic feet too.3. Put together the pull up bar portion on one of the sides. You can lean the other side against a wall and stand up the side with the pull up bar. Grab a couple bolts, lock both sides together and boom, pretty easy... at least it was for me.4. Tighten down all the bolts. I recommend going in a diagonal pattern like tightening a tire on a car.Home Gym for under $1kI also bought the accessories that go with the rack like the dip bars and land mine. haven't used the land mine yet.I bought an iron crush 7' Olympic bar. Plenty of tensile strength for the amount of weight I use.Went to a local sports store and bought used weights. They aren’t cheap but cheaper than new.If you lift heavy on bench or shoulders, don't settle for a cheap bench. Safety over cost. Other local sports stores might have a decent bench too.I went to a local hardware store and got 2 horse stall mats. 3/4" thick 4'x6' for like $70. I recommend those if you do any type of deadlifting or CrossFit if you’re slamming weights.Good squat belt. Again, safety over cost.Lastly, No One paid me for this review on any of these products to include this rack. I'm just out here to support those who like to lift and want to do it in the comfort of their own home. Enjoy your work out!

Very Nice Weight Lifting Rack and Lat Pull down attachment
I have been lifting on and off for most of my life. I am now 73 and haven't lifted for 20 years. Getting too soft so time to start lifting again. - Purchased this rack and had it set up in about 30 minutes. Everything went together perfectly. I did all of the assembly by myself; assembly was a breeze. The rack was packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition. No road rash at all. The paint was unblemished and the metal parts were formed perfectly. I purchased upgraded J-Hooks ahead of time because the stock hooks don't have rubber padding and the design is not to my liking. A very minor drawback considering the low price of the rack.I always lift by myself without a spotter. When I was 55 I felt confident lifting without a spotter. However, now that some years have passed, seems prudent to employ some sort of protection should I become unable to complete the lift. The 1" spotting bars fit the bill for this need perfectly. I can now try to crank out that last rep without fear of snapping my ribs should I run out of steam.I no longer will attempt max weight on any lift, but will focus on lifts I can complete in 6 to 15 reps. Meaning, I do not need a rack that can support 600 pounds. The rack looks plenty strong and can likely support 600 pounds without a problem. However, if you are like me and don't plan on being an olympic weight lifter, then this rack will be a perfect addition to your lifting equipment. Just make sure you purchase a solid bench and you won't be dissappointed.I have had the rack for 9 months now and I still love it. Recently I purchased the Lat pull down attachment. Wow, what a perfect setup for a home gym. I watched several Youtube videos pertaining to the lat attachment assemble and those were helpfull. All parts are packaged nicely and identified as to where they go in the lat attachment. The lat attachment comes with oil which you are instructed to apply to the slider. I lubricated the slider as instructed and discovered the oil is a waste of time. After one day of use the slider started sticking. However, I purchased some silicone spray and that works perfectly. I applied the silicone spray a month ago and it still slides perfectly. I have now installed several pulleys to the front of the rack which allows me to pull the cables from a variety of positions. I assembeled my rack in an unheated metal building and that is where it has resided since I purchased it. During the installation of the lat attachment you will need to disassemble much of the rack in order to attach the lat option. I noticed that all of the bolts that are used to construct the rack had rusted because the temperature gets cold during the winter in my unheated metal building and allows condensation of moisture on the cold metal parts. Would have been nice if they would have used zinc plated or stainless bolts to prevent rusting. Not a big deal for me. I will simply replace the bolts with stainless bolts and the problem will be resolved. If you keep your rack in a garage or some place that doesn't get super cold during the winter you probably won't experience the rusting issue. All things considered, I love this rack / lat option setup and would purchase it again without any reservations.

To Good To Pass Up...
Let me break a couple of things down real quick..I work for a living, sometimes 6-7 nights a week. I am pushing 50, but want to get back into shape. The government as we know takes most of our money, so I am pretty tight with what I get. I shopped around when looking for a squate rack. Even stooped so low as to browse the high priced, used trash on Facebook Marketplace.I shop a lot on Amazon, it's convenient due to my work schedule. So after looking around, I finally settled on this Fitness Reality squat rack and lat attachment set up. It took awhile to get here as it was being shipped by UPS for some reason, and in seperate packages due on seperate dates. UPS if you don't know, doesn't generally use careful hands when it comes to packages, and is not timely at all. So while spending a few days peeking out the windows like a package thief, I finally caught the deliveries securely.Alright the fun part. When I was a kid I use to rip open packages and toss the instructions to the wind. Not so these days. A word of advice, keep a couple of trash bags handy when unpacking the parts, as Fitness Reality goes out of the way to carefully package parts. I examined all parts, gathered up tools and set everything out for an easy assemble. Pretty much everything you need to will come with the kit, but there are easier ways, such as using an impact wrench, socket/wrech set, and make sure you have a utility knife to get through the packaging.I started out putting together the squat rack, NOT overly tightening anything. I kept EVERYTHING finger tight until even the lat attachment was finally assembled...just made things easier to fit. Then, I did a couple final shakes of the units while jumping around doing the final tightenings. The squat rack went together quick and flawless, instructions were not needed, but were included. It was a cake walk job from just looking at the diagram. The lat attachment however, lol...I had a couple of issues. For some reason I decided to use the instructions. Don't do that unless you need to. It was a mess, steps jumped ahead of themselves, parts stepped ahead of themselves, bolts seemed mislabled, etc...My best advice, lay your pieces out, make sure they are all there. Browse the instructions to see where the parts are located on the unit, then just jump in and toss it together. Again, I can not stress this enough...hand tighten ONLY until completed. If you do it that way, you should have zero problems. For my purchases, I have zero complaints. I have seen reviews and Youtube videos where people say chipped paint, or rust, missing parts, etc...All of my stuff was there, packaged great and with care from Fitness Reality. The price was extremely great and resonable, especially for what all this kit can do. Just know that if you are having them delivered by UPS, keep a close eye out, as the delivery dates they give do NOT match...EVER. UPS will leave your stuff exposed outside for all to see and in any kind of weather. They do NOT use kid gloves with your purchases either. And, for whatever reason, they are not requiring a signature for packages...just a dump and go. This is why I prefer Amazon, the delivery drivers generally follow my instructions and place packages on my enclosed deck, out of sight and weather. So yea, hope you enjoyed my ramblings. I'm blue collar, look for deals, and am NOT a paid representative of Fitness Reality or Amazon. If you have any questions about this product I will be glad to answer. I will further note that the lat pulldown system has 1" inch plate holders, so I bought seperate 2" slides that go right over them to accomodate my 2" plates. I also didn't feel comfortable with the 2 small safety bars and ordered larger ones...but that's because I turn into a beast when tossing around weights, it has nothing to do with the actual small safety bars. I fully reccommend this product from this company and in no way, shape, or form regret making these purchases. Good lift to you all!!!

Very decent for the price, but only if you can't afford better
I struggled with giving this 4 or 5 stars. I really regret not getting a different cage that was more sturdy, larger, and had the option for a lat pulldown. But I was being cheap on the one piece of equipment I should not have been cheap about. Anyhow for the price you absolutely cannot beat this cage. It's good quality, but does have many trade offs for price. If you really can't spend the money, and aren't a heavy lifter then I can recommend this all day long.My negatives, which aren't really huge negatives: The cage does move around a fair bit. If you like to rack your weights aggressively, like I do, then be prepared for a second where you wonder if the cage is going to tip backwards, or flop side to side. Honestly it's not going to flip, it has those back legs that would keep it from that, but it still feels a bit flimsy when racking weight. But just having the weight sitting on the cage is very sturdy and unracking it is not an issue. I'm also not a fan of the matte powdercoating they are using, it really scratches way too easily. I'm comparing this to commercial gym units where I can throw an Olympic bar at the cage and you won;'t see the slightest scratch, but of course that's comparing $10k versus what this costs so it's an unfair comparison. Still, I would have paid just a bit more for better powdercoating.I also wasn't overly fond of the pull up bars. I have only 80" ceilings in my basement so I had to hang them upside down. Yeah it's possible this contribute slightly to the flimsiness. I can do pullups with no issues, but have to bend my legs up. Once again not a big deal for the price. The only true negatives are the weight holders, they are very bad. They will totally ruin the knurling on your bar as they are metal to metal. They also come loose if you laterally translate the bar even just a little, very scary and dangerous. The first thing you should replace is these, with some nice rubber coated J-hooks. I also added some Titan plate holders.Last negative is it's unable to accommodate a lat pulldown. This isn't an issue with how it was advertised as I knew this when I purchased it. But it wouldn't have been difficult to engineer an addon lat pulldown for this. But I'm sure they would prefer you buy their higher end cage, which I can't blame them.Anyhow overall it's very positive and a nice cage if you are on a budget. But if you have the money and the room don't be cheap and look at other options.

Great centerpiece to start a home gym.
I have used this cage daily for roughly 3 months and the pros far outweigh the cons. Let's start with the cons: (1) without being weighted down, the cage is a bit unstable for some exercises. Examples: I do leaning lateral arm raises where the upright is my anchor. Without weight on the cage, the rack would topple over. Also, when using heavy weight for landmine chest presses and using a plyo box as a psuedo fulcrum or point of support, the cage will lift off the floor at the point where the landmine attaches to the frame (think of a seesaw with only one person; person goes down while the opposite side goes up). That said, this is the tradeoff you make when you consciously purchase an inexpensive (note, I did not say cheap) piece of equipment with a small footprint designed for home use. Most of this is easily countered with weights low and at the corners as seen in the picture, provided you have the luxury of other weight available to perform the exercises. In my case, I use dumbbells for the leaning lateral raises and bumper plates for the landmine chest presses and leave the iron plates on the holders. (2) The smaller chrome hooks (not the long safety bars) that come with it leave something to be desired. As a result of the design, if you are shifting the bar laterally before un-racking, they can come unhinged if you are not careful. And, if you care about this sort of thing, they do not have high backs and you will scratch the uprights and potentially your bar when re-racking. It also makes for a clunky re-rack as the the hook is not flush with the upright. I opted for third party j-hooks with high backs and hard plastic "padding" (not the Fitness Reality ones) that solved this. (3) I would have liked the pull-up bar to have knurling. I use hockey tape, but it's not the same. All that said, I have zero regrets about this purchase. I have not experienced the negatives in some of the other reviews. The item was packaged very well and there were no defects out of the box that I noticed. For the price, this is a sturdy piece of equipment and is manufactured well with quality material and I expect it to last much longer than I originally anticipated. It was easy to assemble and when all bolts are torqued properly, there is minimal to no wobble. I can see how some people would have issues with hitting their face on the upper horizontal support bar when re-racking after a squat, but I face the opposite direction. I imagine these folks have a mirror at the rear of the cage and this is why they face that direction. The hooks don't have to be on the rear upright where that support bar is, either. Additionally, there are plenty of universal 2x2 attachments available (dip bars, j-hooks, landmine, etc.) that make this rack a solid centerpiece to build your home gym around. I opted not to purchase the lat pull down attachment and instead use after market pulleys and resistance bands, further enhancing the usefulness of this cage. With this cage and available attachments, there is almost no exercise that I cannot do at home that I could have done at the gym. I would highly recommend this item if you are able to get it at a reasonable price.

Best out there for the price.
I bought this due to all the gyms closing down for Coronavirus. Luckily got it for $260, before resellers started jacking up the price due to demand. Criminals. Anyway, this cage is the real deal. Am an avid lifter for 30 years. This cage is all most of us will need, especially if you buy the optional lat pulldown/rowing attachment, as I did.Easy enough to assemble if you read and digest the instructions. Take your time. Use a socket set rather than the included tool. Will save time. Comes with step by step assembly guide. Even the nuts and bolts are coded step by step. Arrived very meticulously packaged. As for usage, I am 5 feet 9 inches and 200 pounds. Can do squats easily in and out of the cage. No wobbling. Quite sturdy. My bench fits well inside the cage for presses without hitting the sides or anything. This cage is built for an olympic style weight set.Lat pulldown attachment. Just installed this today and it took somewhat longer due to more pieces and the pulleys. About 2.5 hours. Again, read the instructions and familiarize yourself with the parts list before beginning. I am no handyman and I was able to do this. As for usability, I was concerned that the smoothness of the pulling motion would be very poor compared to what you would find at a commercial gym. In the end I am very impressed with the smoothness of the motions doing lat pulldowns and rows. This is a great set up and I will be canceling my gym membership.I got the cage and lat pulldown attachment for a lillte over $500. Be aware that now there are literally thousands of gym rats like me (and maybe you) who are frantically searching for home gym equipment. Buy this while you can. Good luck.

Fits under a 8ft ceiling but this is rated for casual lifting not elite lifting
My only problems was that one of the packaged bolt set was opened but there was no indication that anything was broken or used. The other thing was that the instructions didn’t show the picture of a part that connects to the rear brackets but it shows it in the diagram or blueprint so the instructions where still clear but not really a major problem, it’s just enough to where you got to double check Other than that it was really easy to assemble and everything was brand new. I feel this cage is for beginners like me and just to stick with for a good while because I don’t think this is for elite powerlifting probably good for 400-500 lbs with 700-800lbs pushing the limits. Honestly I feel this cage is suitable for anyone just wanting to workout. 300$$ not bad for rated workouts up to 400-500 lbs. also I’m 240 and it handle me doing the pull-ups so the pull up bar ain’t bad. It fits under a 8ft ceiling as well so it doesn’t hit the ceiling , plenty of room to not hit your head but muscle ups are not gonna work.

The essentials and the value
TLDR: great value for the price. Hits all the essentials and is efficiently sized. To give context of the type of athlete I am: I strength train consistently, bench 220lbs and squat 275 lbs at 181 lbs. Ultimately, I would consider myself a intermediate weight lifter who trains to be fit and look good.Due to COVID and elevated chances of getting it at a gym, I decided to invest into a home gym; with a Power Rack as my first purchase. My objective was to buy a Power Rack that will be safe to lift moderate to above moderate weight. And of course, I was looking for a product with the best value. I also did not have the option to bolt down a rack or bolt a rack to a studded wall, since it was going to be in an unfinished basement.I researched all of the top brands and read/watched many online reviews (shout out to Cooper at Garage Gym Reviews!). Pretty quick, it became clear that there were two options: go with a top brands like Rogue or go with a budget-friendly brand, many of which can be found on Amazon. The top brands come with a high price tag but you get what you pay for: sturdy and consistently build equipment with great customer service and warranties to back it up. One hiccup in the process was not many items are in stock due to the low supply in the industry. I was turned on to the FR 810xlt from a YouTube review, which concluded that this product has all the essentials needed in a Power Rack for about a quarter of the price of the top brands. I also liked the attachment options - I ended adding four plate storage pins, the dip bars, and landmine attachment. I nearly bought the lat pull down attachment too but found an alternative pulley system that took up less space and was removable (I highly recommend that too - they're about $50; in contast to the $200+ listed on Amazon for the FR lat pull down attachment).Pros:- It is sturdy... enough. There is a very slight wobble but it's nothing to be concerned about if you are under the max weight cap. This slight wobble is expected since the rack isn't bolted in.-The space in the power rack is perfectly sized for one person. Any less space would be too tight to comfortably lift. Any more would take up space for other equipment in your workout area. Perfectly sized for my needs.-The paint quality and finish is not cheap. I have already done my fair share of aggressive barbell reracks and would have thought by now some of the paint would've chipped off. I'm happy to report the rack looks fantastic still.-The Price. When I bought this rack a month back, with was ~$250 without the attachments. That's incredible for the level of quality and costistency offered by this Power Rack. Even if the rack has increased in price due to lack of supply, this is still worth the price point.Cons:-The holes are not numbered. This honestly is not a big deal to me. I'm going to by some magnets to label which holes I use for each exercise.-The rack didn't come with wrenches for configuration. I ended up having to buy a socket set, which I should've had in the first place.-The Packaging is very heavy. Fair warning... You will want someone else with you to carry it. Say sorry to the UPS guy too.-The assembly process was difficult for one person. There's a lot of bolting and socketing. That was a work out on it's own. It probably took twice as long for me to set it up since i did it myself. I recommend having someone help you, if possible. The manufacturer recommends that as well.-The pull up bar handles are a little slick. I wish the were knurled or had some texture for a better grip. If that's a concern for you, you can buy pull up grips on Amazon.-The pin holes are only on two sides of the upright (front and back). Fitness Reality probably did this for the structural integrity reasons. It would be nice to have holes on all for sides. It would allow for so many more attachment options. In conclusion, this rack is one of the best values on the market. I was very close to purchasing a Rouge Monster Lite rack but I decided to take a chance on this rack. I'm very glad I did. I have a feeling this rack is going to be with me for a very long time.

Excellent starter rack
This is my first rack. I have been using this rack for a few weeks now. I am 6'1 and I am able to do chin ups in, though sometimes my feet hit the floor, either way it still usable. I can also squat and bench inside the rack without any issues. Sometimes its a little difficult doing lunge style squats inside the rack, I have attached safety arms to the outside of the rack to perform them in front of the rack. My only complaint about the chin up bars is that its smooth metal, light gnarling would have been nice for some grip. I worked around this by wrapping hockey tape around the bars for the chin up part, works perfectly. I do weighted chin ups and it feels sturdy to me. My only other complaint about it is that it has no way to secure to the floor. I worked around this by putting "all-round" over the feet and screwing into the floor (able to do so where I have it). This keeps it from tipping and sliding when doing dips off of the dip attachment i bought, and also when doing any band work where I am standing out from the rack. You can also use 6' barbells with this rack if you are limited on space like me. The collars will be really close to the safeties which can be annoying but they will sit safely outside the J hooks and safety pins. I probably wont be able to push the limits of this for a while, I am only ~160 lbs and only bench ~165 lbs and squat ~170 lbs though I feel like this rack can handle heavier loads (it's tubular steel). I bought some additional j hooks and safety arms for the outside. The option for attaching a lat pull down machine is a bonus (if it ever comes back in stock); however I was able to build my own upper and lower cable system off of the rack. I built it a few weeks ago, I have only checked the bolts once and all were still as tight as they were when I put it together. Assembly was pretty straight forward, I was able to do it by myself without any issues. The fact that it uses 1" holes means there are A LOT of compatible attachments.

Parfait !
