The next level for those who want a blueprint for becoming proficient in self defense
A great addition to the first book. This book gave great examples of changing training environments, do's and don'ts for safety, and multiple systems and how to incorporate them together. The back of the book has by far the most varied training workouts for self defense that I've ever come across. Highly recommend to those that want to take their self defense training to the next level.

Another great read!
I really enjoyed Mr. Fines book. His second book was as excellent as the first book. Anyone interested in training will enjoy what his book has to offer. If you interested in training, but don’t know where to start, this book will guide you.

Chance Fine does it AGAIN!
Chance has written another easy to read self defense book, that is filled with very useful information. Take advantage of this and learn everything you need to know in regards to combat and self defense.

A fantastic training manual and reference source for combat and warrior training.
This is the second volume (Combat Martial Training: A manual for training the necessary skills of self-defense and combat by Chance Fine, 134 pages) in the series and I enjoyed reading this manual even more than the first one. This book, (which again like the first volume, does not have page numbers which I wrote in myself before reading it, I just have this thing for having page numbers in a book!), focuses on the actual training routines to make you a more competent and efficient martial artist and warrior. As someone well into their senior years I still do intense workouts six days a week to keep in shape. The author clearly writes from the heart and is obviously an experienced martial art and self-defense instructor. The workout routines in this excellent manual are fantastic but be aware that most of them are very intense unless you are in great physical condition.The seventeen chapters cover an enormous amount of workout programs that will not only get you into combat warrior shape but will prepare you for real life self-defense. The material in this training manual includes: Fighting ghosts, solo training without equipment, using martial skills to workout, fighting fake people, bag work, mitt work, self-defense techniques, bunkai-oyo, flow drills, dry fire, paper shooting, fighting real people, grappling, striking sparring, sparring with weapons, mix it up, taking training to the next level, stress inoculation/building intestinal fortitude, sparring for stress inoculation, training with strangers, additional advice for instructors and specific workouts.In conclusion, I highly recommend both volumes 1, and 2 in this series but in my opinion volume 2 is a must reference source for advanced students and instructors who are seeking intense and practical routines and drills to improve your overall combat and self-defense skills.Rating: 5 Stars.
