Looked at some more expensive ones but decided to take a chance on this magic arm . Absolutely brilliant and very well made .Easy to tighten up with one hand screw . I can recommend this product

There are lots of these to choose from, so I selected the cheapest I could find. Initially, I was a bit disappointed that the two ball-joints at each end of the arms (for attaching to the clamp, and attaching to the phone holder or camera) weren't tight enough. They seemed to rely on friction and it just wasn't sufficient. But I eventually realised something that nothing on this page and nothing in the box tells you: the single tightening bolt in the middle ALSO tightens to the two ball joints at each end of the arms. Very clever! So, the way to use this is to tighten it up enough that you can get everything exactly how you want it, and then tweak the bolt really tight clockwise and the whole thing becomes solid. The only consideration is the simple threads have no locking pin, so gravity can cause them to unscrew, depending on orientation. For lightweight tasks, though (like holding a phone), this is a really handy device.

Great all round tool. I used them for film shoots to attach book mics to walls but have found other uses for it due to its many adaptors. You can grip onto anything and hand basically anything from it. Great product

For £12 you cant go wrong. The arm is just about 11" in TOTAL length. It comes with a good selection of accessory screws etc. The body of the arm is fairly thin and probably wont withstand a big load, but for small lights, and webcams its great. I've used this to mount a webcam in a streaming rig and its perfect.

Articulating arms (proper name) are great for positioning cameras, phones, monitors and all kinds of things from a solid support. The arm, once tightened, will not give at all. However, that's not the case for the attached items as they're attached by the 1/4 x 20 screw threads at each end. And anything mounted leftward will unscrew due to gravity, simply because screw threads are right-hand. So that's what will let you down, and if you then tighten the screw threads even more, something's going to break. There are more expensive articulating arms that have anti-rotation pins and thumbscrews you can tighten using a hex key as a "tommy bar" but they're three or four times more expensive. I'm giving this three stars for the rigidity of the arm itself, but it loses two stars because the screws will only remain tight if the weight is clockwise, and the lock nut threads stripped.

Once I realised the central tightening nut tightened all joints it became easy to use. Solid and well engineered. would buy again

Ridiculously weak. States it can take up 3.5lb- total lie. I attached my lightweight webcam to it and it would not stay upright. Additionally, the 360 ball joints are extremely flimsy and there is no way to tighten them. Both came too lose to even use the product just from me fitting the clamp to my mic arm and now the product is useless for anything other than parts. Waste of money & I can't even return as Amazon do not accept returns for the item breaking unless it broke in transit

Perfect for mounting my web cam over the monitor, fully adjustable and easy to set up.

You can never fix the 360 degrees articulating head in one position. very, very, very bad quality that is not worthy a cent.

The inner ring of one of the ballheads broke after maybe the 10th use. Then the piece was completely unuseable. Make a better purchase, maybe something that isn't this cheap.
