Exactly as advertised, well packed, fast shipping
This was a refurb and quite well done. The tablet was clean, and well packed with all essentials including charging block and cable. The setup as per Samsung took about 20 minutes and was not a challenge. I am happy with the speed and function of the tablet.

Very functional, cheap tablet. SLOW
I have an older 8" Android tablet I bought in 2017. It still works great, but it's getting harder to find apps that work on that version of Android. And it can be slow. So I thought, why not get a 2023 model? I can upgrade my Android version and get a faster processor as well. I got this A7 as a highly-recommended 8" tablet, and was looking forward to using it. However, the newer models aren't that great. The new versions of Android remain clunky to use. The app icons got even smaller and spaced wider apart, which on an 8" screen is very annoying to use. The home screen still doesn't know how to rotate (maybe rotating a home screen is forever beyond the capabilities of software engineering?). The updated Android version means older apps I'm used to aren't working any more, and all the new apps have multiple layers of permission pop-ups. And Android still doesn't know how to dim its screen properly? So you have to use third-party apps to dim the screen at night, and they need crazy amounts of scary permissions. Worst of all, the 2023 A7 is slower than the 2017 tablet I was using earlier. Maybe it's slower hardware? Maybe the advanced Android system slows the system down? I'm not sure. So I'm still using my older 2017 tablet as my primary device. I've got this newer, slower A7 as a backup reading device. I'd still give this 4 stars, since it is a working 8" Android tablet at a good price point that seems to be reliable. But the past 6 years haven't brought any significant improvements in speed or functionality that I can see.

Great budget tablet
Tablet is a nice little budget table. I knew it wasn't the strongest tablet but it was good for my needs. You don't get S pen features. It's not the fastest and there is some slight lag within the Android. I am mostly using it as third monitor for my computer without actually connecting it. It's more like a productivity tablet that but doesn't require that much use. So for $99 it's great. There cheaper tablets but they may not be the best. And I'm used to thr Galaxy environment so this was a nice purchase. Mayne in the future I'll future a faster tablet in thr S family but that would be overkill for my required use. This tablet is meant for light gaming and media entertainment. Updating it to latest Android version and One UI helps speed it up a little bit. EDIT: My original review still stands, unfortunately attimes it seems to have gotten slower and sometimes I have to reboot it to make it get it snappiness back. I would say its the perfect table for kids as long as they don't place intensive games but other that that it may not be the best for adults.

Not quite worth a 4 star rating (Closer to 3.5 stars)
🚨UPDATE 5 MONTHS POST PURCHASE I have come back to let everyone know that as of 5 months and right after the return window closed, the tablet died completely. No amount of charging, changing ports, wall outlets etc could make it come back to life. As such I am lowering my rating down to a complete 3 star. Yes again it was refurbished and under $100 but it didn't even last a full 6 months. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra time and/money and go elsewhere. 👇🏻👇🏻Original review below 👇🏻👇🏻 I bought this in “Renewed – Excellent” condition for my toddler, and while it works for what I need, there are some noticeable issues. The main reason I chose this over an iPad is because we’re a Samsung household, and Samsung’s Kids mode is far better. Being able to lock the tablet down and keep my child only in approved apps is a huge plus and exactly what I needed. However, the performance is slow across the board. Startup alone takes about 3–5 minutes just to reach the home screen, and even after that, the tablets slackness or lack of is noticeable even after trying different trouble shooting steps. It still runs sluggish during normal use (opening apps, navigating, etc.). It’s older tech (5+ years), so I expected some lag—but this is definitely on the slower side. There were also a couple hardware issues: The included charger was broken Charging is slow, taking over an hour to fully charge, even with a fast charger Bottom line: Value for Money: For under $100, it’s worth it for basic toddler use and short periods of distraction. But between the slow performance and charging issues, I wouldn’t rate it a full 4 stars nor would I recommend this for daily use for the average user.
