Kavafied AluBall Kava, Coffee, and Tea Maker Ball

We use this with our Vanuatu waka and it has completely simplified the process. Traditional kneading is great, but this lets you get a solid shell in a fraction of the time with way less mess. The screen holds the grind well, the flow is smooth when you shake it, and cleanup is quick. The strength comes out surprisingly good for such a fast method. We still do traditional prep sometimes, but this is our go-to for convenience. One thing to know: you do need a shaker bottle to use it properly. Once you have that, it works perfectly and is super easy to use. If you drink kava regularly, this is absolutely worth it. Huge time saver and very well designed.

Bit pricey but very good product.

I don't know if this is an original brand or a knock off. The two halves separate very easily but don't seem to back together easily without cross threading. That said, when you take your time and get them to screw together and seal properly, the ball itself does a great job. I use it for fine grind kava and after shaking the vast majority of the 'rinsed' grind is still in the ball. Easy to clean out as well.
