Not vented, not "windproof".
Not vented at all, a regular umbrella for twice the price it should be - and very flimsy.

Broke in 2-3 uses
The umbrella broke in 2-3 uses. It is not wind resistant.

It is a nice umbrella, although the top canopy doesn't fold nicely when closing the umbrella, otherwise it was a good purchase.

I've not actually used this umbrella yet, but I looked at quite a few umbrellas before buying this one and noticed that a lot of reviews focus on the automatic opening system, either praising it or complaining how difficult it is to close. Most better compact travel umbrellas in this price range seem to have the same automatic mechanism as this one: you press the button to open and it opens very quickly, so you need to watch where you point it. To close, you press the button, which folds it, then you have to push it down until it clicks shut. It is quite stiff, and you need to exert a bit of pressure (as with other umbrellas with this mechanism), so for someone with arm/hand strength issues, this type of umbrella is maybe not ideal. Most umbrellas in this price range seem to offer different features, but few combine them all as this one does: high number of ribs, reinforced ribs, water-repellent fabric and vented canopy. This was one of few umbrellas I could find that had all of these features, it has nine reinforced (but flexible) ribs, which look very strong, but I doubt that this alone will prevent any umbrella from inverting in strong winds, so also wanted a vented canopy. It's has a curved, easy-grip handle, but is still not longer folded than others with a straight handle, whereas some others with easy-grip handles are a bit longer than this one when folded up. This does mean that this one has less grip-space on the handle, but it's therefore only 29 cm long when folded. The handle itself is around 6 cm long, so just about long enough for me to hold comfortably and my hands are quite small. If an easy-grip feature is important to you, then the shortness of the handle might be a draw-back, especially for larger hands, but for me, ability to withstand wind and compactness is more important than grip comfort and the trade-off made here suits me well (wanted one that fits within a water-proof cover purchased separately). It has a nice wrist strap firmly attached to the handle, and comes with a slip-on cover which is generous enough to be able to get the umbrella back inside it easily. It says on Amazon that it comes with a life-time guarantee, but you need to register the product on their website and there, it states that they guarantee their umbrellas for 2 years. I have contacted the seller about this, and will update this review when I hear back, also will try to update it after I've used the umbrella, but am reasonably confident it will perform well even in windy weather. Having now used this umbrella, I wanted to point out that this type of automatic opening/closing mechanism has a draw-back (don't think this is unique to this umbrella, have another the same): once you press the button to fold it down again after use, you can only open it again after having fully closed it, so pushed it right back down until it clicks into place, you cannot press the button to fold it down and then press again to open it, without fully closing it. This is a bit annoying, if you briefly enter a covered area. Other than this, I am very happy with how it performed in windy conditions: according to the Met, today there were wind gusts of up to 21 miles per hour, and this barely broke a sweat, so can see it being stable in far higher wind, as in the product description. The vented canopy did not even come into play at this wind speed, when holding it into the wind. I suspect, although did not test, that it would also have handled being held sideways or underside facing the wind direction, which a good, really weather-proof umbrella should withstand, as you can't always move it around quickly enough. Time will tell, and if possible, will update when I've encountered really stormy weather with this.

Haven’t had to use it in high wind at the moment which is the reason I bought this product, but the ease of opening and closing is great and the spokes feel very sturdy. Delivery was good as well.

I was giving so much thought on what umbrella to purchase because I was fed up with cheaply made ones. I have a long walk to get to work and when it rains, it sets the tone for a miserable day. This umbrella was everything you need - easy and quick to assemble as all you have to do is push a button. While walking, the umbrella will bend with the wind instead of flipping completely inside-out which means less fighting with the umbrella! I was also worried the umbrella would be too big, but it's actually the perfect size. The sleeve to put over the umbrella when not in use is super helpful because it is easy to slip on - unlike most other umbrellas. Finally, the material dries SO quickly, I am actually shocked!! This is also helpful when bringing a wet umbrella into an office setting - very helpful that it drys fast! The only "negative" thing I would have to say is that when you close the umbrella, due to the force it closes with, all of the water on top of the umbrella bounces off which has gotten me wet a few times. Not a huge deal, but a bit annoying when the point it to stay dry. You can avoid this by pointing the umbrella to the ground though.
