Have the product for two years now and it is working fine. The battery is not heavily used on average three times per year when on vacation or special events . On all occasions the battery lived up to expectation as per the specifications. The battery that the device camcorder came with was disappointing, hence the purchase of this battery. The when attached fit into the carry bag and this is a good thing. To date I believe it was a good buy.

Well, it's a battery and it did charge up to full capacity and is powering the camera. As far as how durable it is, will take time, but it should be fine. Great price!

I have two of these batteries for the video cameras that I own and it really nice to beable to record with the extra time. The batery is perfect and does not take up too much space. I really like this and the packaging was number one, the bateries looked exceptional.

These heavier duty video camera batteries are very expensive, far more than I wanted to pay for one. I found this one at Amazon.com for half the regular manufacturer's price. Yes, we've all heard the horror stories about cheap batteries burning up, but I've used them in my cameras for years and never had a problem. I don't believe Amazon would allow inferior merchandise to be sold through their website, and I was pleased with the guarantee they give, so I bought this one. I used it, recently, to record a Mud Bogging event and it gave me no problems.

I purchased this battery as a back-up to the one that came with my camera. The size is larger, thus the longer usage, but that also made the camera no longer able to fit in the carry case. Not a big problem. The battery functions well and provides about 3 time the usage as the original battery. I purchased a charger at the same time to allow out-of-camera charging.

This is something you really need for your camcorder; as the one that comes with the camera is quite pitiful. The battery works great and I get to video our family on whole-day trips without having to charge the battery. But at $55+... I think it's too expensive. I guess when you don't have a choice.... Only three stars because of the price to value ratio.

The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars: it took about a week for me to receive it, and they want way to much for next day delivery. Other than that this was just what I needed. My son play high school baseball and I like to record the game so he can watch himself play later. The battery that came with my camera would not even last three inning before it was dying. I ordered this battery and its was perfect. I can record the entire seven innings as long as I shut the camera off between innings. Only drawback is it takes forever to charge it through the camera, so I bought the battery charger as well. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to record for more than an hour.

Actually I was used to the size of the older Everio batteries, this one is smaller than the older models, but of course is bigger than the one that comes with the camera, plus the one with on the kit, will help you with 1 hour or lees of video shooting, this one will help you increase it to +2.5 hours, so in total, with the one that comes with the camera will give you a total of 3.5 hours of video shooting, if you want to have a good time to shoot I will strongly recommend you to buy 2 Items.
