Olivia

This album by Olivia has always been a classic since 2001 when it first was released. Olivia has smooth melodies and beats on each track that brings me back to my high school years when music was great! I tried several places online to find it since I lost my original cd years ago. I tried amazon and of course the album was available for instant download at a reasonable price! I got one of my favorite albums from one of my favorite artists to add to my collection. Best place to find classic albums is Amazon.

Great CD, I love Olivia! I love all of the songs on the album, and it's great relaxing and easy listening music. Her covers are wonderful and so are her originals. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something laid back to listen to. Olivia's voice is like silk and she has such a wonderful "vintage" tinge to her voice.

i discoverd olivia when i her so sexy (from her upcoming album behind closed doors) so i decided to do some reserch on her lol & i ended up downloading bizzounce & when 2 souls touch 7 i was VERY VERY Inpressed im in love wit her voice & cant wait for her next album coming out in the fall her smooth but edgy R&B & raping is awesome i cant wait to hear what 50 did with her since this is amazing her second is gonna blow ur mindz if this already didnt move over mary j olivia is comin thro

Olivia's song Bizounce was a good funky song for the album's first single, but the rest of this album sounds surprisingly uneven and mediocre. The explicit nature of most of the songs really turns me off. She comes off sounding offensive on most songs as she wants control of the man and the relationship. And the wanting to be a singer then turning around and being a rapper comes off as disjointed here. Olivia needs to pick a style and stick with it. The uptempo numbers lack the punch of what Aaliyah or Mary J Blige did before. And she lacks feeling on some of the ballads. I'm surprised that this album didn't sell well on J Records. Fortunately, she left them and went to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records. I hope she comes up with better music on her upcoming 2005 album for them than this outlandish, offending piece of crap that her 2001 debut brought. Sorry, but foul language on R&B love songs didn't work on that 1st album!

Old school!

The first lady of J Records and G-Unit did it real big on this thrilling album. 1. Bizonce [4/5] - Great addictive first single. 2. Are U Capable [5/5] - Fun, pop song where O-lovely shows off her flow skillz. 3. You Got the Damn Thing [5/5] - Infectious pop single that you would not expect her to sing. Nonetheless the song is hot. Her smokey voice really compliments the song. 4. Silly Bitch in Love [5/5] - Tight ass song. The song starts off real gangsta, then it goes into a hot, slow, mellow mood. 5. It's on Again [5/5] - A beautiful slow song with great, poetic lyrics. My favorite track on the album. And you just have to love the Birds chirping in the background. 6. Woop-T-Woo [0/5] - Useless track! This is the worst song on the album. It's just a "see how many cuss words I can throw at my man" song. Album filler alert! 7. Whoadie [1/5] - Terrible song. But way better than Whoop-T-Woo. Album filler alert. (Two album fillers in a row is not good..) 8. 'Til He Comes Home [3/5] - Nice song about how a girl will hold sh*t down until her man is released from jail. Olivia has shown that she is attracted more to the thugged out types. 9. Bring da Roof Down [4/5] - Cool upper mid tempo song. Nothing really stands out about it though. 10. When 2 Souls Touch [5/5]- A nice ballad type of song. The metaphor is nice, and original. Another one of my fav tracks on the album. 11. Lower 2 My Heart [5/5] - A really slow song. It is beyond a ballad. This song sounds like it was morphed. Into the chorus, it gets slower and slower. It sounds like it is going in slow motion. But the song is really sexual and Olivia's vocals are beautiful on this joint. 12. Look Around [4/5] - A nice, but forgettable duet with her labelmate Jimmy Cozier. TOP 5 FAV TRACKS... 1. It's On Again 2. Silly Bitch In Love 3. When 2 Souls Touch 4. Lower To My Heart 5. You Got The Damn Thing If you want this album, go out and buy it! Don't sleep on this hot artist because if you do, you're in for a rude awakening!

An album to listen to whilst driving! an unknown artist to me but well worth a listen. A smooth voice.
