Weak, rushed, predictable and unoriginal...
This is the usual monotonous trope of a cynical and damaged man who doesn’t want a relationship; who takes a different woman home to his bed every night and rudely sends them packing within minutes of finishing with them. Who then finds the one and only woman who gets under his skin, no matter how hard he tries to forget her. There’s some push and pull between Miller and Tess and then suddenly, voilà! They’re a couple. A small uninteresting and weak subplot about goons threatening Tess, (thinking it’ll force her jerk ex boyfriend to cough up the $$ he owes them). All very contrived.Consistently challenged by grammatical issues (phrasing, pronouns, verbs, misspellings, etc.) and occasionally homophones (like "there" & "their") or the improper use of “then” and “than”. No excuse for these sloppy errors. I expected more and got less. Character descriptions are weak...I was imagining a deep baritone for Millers voice until the author wrote about Miller’s “raspy tenor”. Tenor?!? Now I’m hearing a high-pitched falsetto. Anyway, dual POV in 1st person. Cheesy, adolescent, cliched dialogue that reminded me of a Lifetime movie. Sex scenes had a college feel to them...immature, and silly that quickly became boring...causing me to skim or skip completely. The wording this author used to describe heated kissing or sex had me in stitches. And it’s obvious this author didn’t do her research of what Nursing school entails and the workload that’s enforced; pulling all nighters, or contemplating sleeping in your car at the schools parking lot since you’ll be returning in less than 5 hours anyway...or the power bars and vending machine snacks that sometimes pass for meals. This author made it sound like a walk in the park with Tess holding down a full time job plus going out to dinner and dancing. SMH...

Finally
Waiting for this book was worth it. Had to read it without stopping. Funny, when you find a author with a good writing style, knows how to tell a great story and keeps you captivated it all comes down to really enjoying a good book.....who could ask for anything more?Enjoy Miller and Tess's story as much as I.

Disappointed
I have to say I was really disappointed with this book. The premise is very cliche. I didn't find much likable about the primary male character and the primary female character was foolish. To the author - you REALLY need an editor! Learn the proper usage of me and I and the difference between than and then. Some sentences didn't make sense. These things affect the reader's experience.Sorry to say I won't be reading any more of this author's books.

Hot!!!
I could not put his book down! the biggest manwhore of all finally meets his match in this girl and he can't get her out of his system... he falls hard fast... I love when that happens.. I highly recommend this book...this was my first time reading a book by this author and it won't be the last.

It's called spell check
This book was great but there were a lot of grammatical errors. I got the book for $3 so maybe that was the reason

Tess causes many of her own problems
Her poor judgment made the story a little frustrating. I liked Miller and his family a lot. There were quite a few spell check errors such as "...now that you're HEAR things are a little better." It was a little like reading predictive spelling in a text.

Crazy mad lovers at large here
These two were perfect together Miller and Theresa . Both aggressive and head strong and lets not f k grey hot for each other. Faith Hawes' dream came true when her son gets to find a good woman to call his own no matter how they met.

Miller is HOT!!!! ❤
Miller Hawes exudes power and strength wherever he goes infact his whole family is about power even if most of what they do is illegal, his businesses are his babies between running them and preparing to takeover his father's position at the car dealership he's a busy man but that doesn't stop his manwhore ways he has a different woman every night he doesn't do relationships and never lets a woman stay over but things change when one card game has different end results than any other he's played before. Tess was sold out by her ex he didn't have enough money so he used her as leverage in a card game, Miller wins the game and they end up going to dinner then back to his place for one night of hot sex they both end up falling asleep but she wakes up before him and decides to leave thinking it's better than being kicked out by him, he's not too happy she left and he can't stop thinking about her no other woman hold his interest so you can imagine his delight when he walks into his sports bar and discovers she now works for him, they begin what starts as a sexual relationship but grows to become much more than he could ever have imagined. However a crazy ex and an even crazier business rival cause a ton of problems for Miller and Tess but it only brings them closer in the end. This was my first book by Rebecca and I loved it I've already one clicked Traded and a few others. 5 out of 5 stars from me.

A great read
This was a very enjoyable book and loved how it carried on from the previous book Traded. It is good when characters from previous books continue their story. This book was about Miller and Tess and how they met. Theirs is a story that has a very alpha male who falls in love with a very independent woman. The sex scenes are great and the drama has your heart racing. I thoroughly recommend this as a great read and can't wait for Brock's story to come out.

Really Good
I loved Traded so I couldn't wait to read this one. Really enjoyed the story of Miller and Tess both very strong characters. I loved the back and forth between the two, they are both very strong determined single minded people. It was fun to see the developing story between them. Can't wait for the next one.
