Perfect for making those daily 10,000 steps
I'm so happy with this purchase. I wanted to increase my fitness level the lazy way, but I don't feel comfortable walking alone in my neighborhood. Enter this treadmill. I originally wanted to use it at my desk while I did work, but after a couple of falls, I decided that I'm not coordinated enough to work and walk on the treadmill at once (more of a personal issue than an issue with this product). I am also short on space, and I specifically wanted a treadmill that folds. I've had this for about a week and have used it every day since (I'll make sure to update this review if there are any further changes). Since I'm not coordinated enough to multitask, I now park the treadmill in front of the TV and that literally has kept me occupied for a couple of hours at a time. The setup is relatively easy and it comes with instructions. It does say that the device needs to be "unlocked" when you first get it, which either means you walk 1 km on it or you download their app. I chose the former and it works fine. If you don't "unlock," you can't go past 2.9 km/hr on the treadmill. The treadmill also comes with a remote -- DO NOT LOSE THE REMOTE OR ELSE IT WILL NOT WORK. The remote comes with a wrist strap and you can start/stop the treadmill and change the speed -- pretty self explanatory. I still store the treadmill under my desk and while it's easy to move on flat surfaces due to the front wheels, I found it to be quite heavy taking it up the stairs in my home. The product description lists this treadmill at 55 lbs, so I guess I just don't have any upper body strength, but keep the weight in mind if you're planning on moving this device from room to room. It folds for easy storage and fits well under my desk. I have heard of people complaining of the belt shredding on similar treadmills, but the instructions do say to center the belt prior to starting the treadmill (open the treadmill and adjust the belt from side to side until it is centered). The noise isn't completely silent, but I feel that I only have to increase the volume of my TV 1-2 levels while using it, so I don't think it's that loud to me. I also only use this product for walking, so running will most likely cause more noise. Overall, I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it for someone looking to increase their steps or exercise at their desk (if you're coordinated enough). 3 MONTH UPDATE: The belt slides a little more easily to the sides than when I first got the treadmill, but it's easy to readjust and I have not had any shredding along the sides. I have also noticed some small bubbles forming on the treadmill within a plastic layer underneath the belt, but I have not otherwise noticed a change in performance. Overall, I'm still happy with it and am pleased that it has kept up over the last three months.

Worked Great at First - Bad Customer Service
Worked great in the beginning, really a fantastic option for office walking. Folded up nice under my desk, easy for me to move it around (its not light, so it might be more difficult for some). After a few months though, it started making a new and annoying noise. I contacted the company, and they had me do all kinds of things. Remove this part, remove that part. All in all, it got better for a few days at one point, then came back worse than ever. It got to the point where I was requesting they replace it since I had basically butched it through their instructions. Nope, they wouldn't do it. It is not cheap, so its not like I just want to buy another one. Now, I need to close my office door to use it, which is inconvenient. It is also highly distracting, as its just a constant reminder of it having issues and the distaste of poor customer service. Do no recommend, find a different walking treadmill. Note: I do love the concept of the under desk treadmill and I was walking "4-8" miles a day (2-4 hours) before the noise started. They are worth it if you are going to stick to it.

Perfect for my small office
I have been using this for 6 months, but I don't use it every day. It is perfect for my small, narrow office. It fits folded under my credenza and is easy to unfold and use. I have had no issues with it whatsoever. The treadmill itself is not very noisy - my steps on the treadmill are probably too loud for a quiet environment, but I close the door and use it at lunchtime. The remote works well and the speed is easy to control. I don't rely too heavily on the stats readings (steps, distance, calories) so I'm not really sure if they are accurate - it's not a concern for me...I just want to get some walking time. I only used the app when setting it up - it seemed fairly standard for Chinese-made products. I don't need the app so I don't bother with it, but it does have the capability to keep a history and set up programs. Also, I bought an equipment mat to use under the treadmill, but my office has very low commercial carpet and the treadmill works fine without it and doesn't damage the carpet at all.

One of My Best Decisions
I’ve been working from home since the start of the pandemic and have no office to return to for the foreseeable future. As someone who used to walk a fair amount to/during/from work, this lack of movement over the past few years has not been kind to my body. This has been a huge quality of life increase for WFH (I actually prefer an office, but only if the commute is easy). It’s a good supplement to regular exercise. My heart rate isn’t racing at at 1.5-2 mph, but it is a comfortable speed to get some movement in during a meeting or while reading/watching content. It can go a bit faster, but I’m a little scared to multi-task beyond that. Also, I have a small office that I share with my partner, and this has such a small footprint it doesn’t get in the way. However, if you are using it as part of your workstation, I recommend getting a non-static mat, wiping the belt with a dryer sheet, and plugging it directly into an outlet (no surge protector) to avoid getting static shocked. So why only four stars though? This took a lot of trial and error to calibrate the belt. Also, sometimes the speed will reset while I’m adjusting it when I first turn it on. It’s only happened sometimes within the first seconds of starting, and thankfully never when I’m deep into it. And, if I don’t switch it off completely, it will randomly beep despite not being touched.

Great space saving treadmill
I live in a 5th wheel full time and wanted a way to get some steps in during the winter or when I can't go out or while at work. Fits perfectly in the space I have and I don't feel it gets in the way, But the ability to fold and move it out of the way is great if I have company. I purchased this in Nov of 2022 and so far have walked at a moderate pace at least 1-2 miles a day using this treadmill really without any issues. One time the app did not want to connect but removing the device, adding it back etc fixed that. So far with a diet change and getting my steps in I have lost 18 lbs so far in the last 6 months. For reference I am 6'2" and 250lbs which is over the weight limit and I have never felt this thing would not handle it! Don't forget to grease the belt every 3 months and it should last you a long time.

DONT DO IT
I am heartbroken over this. I spent 6 months researching a walking pad to make sure that the $500 wasn’t going to waste. I’ve had it since August, and recently moved so I haven’t been home a lot to use it. I’ve maybe walked 10 total miles on it, and you can hear the sound it’s making. It jerks to a sudden stop and sounds like it’s about to fall apart. I’m a month past my return window, and they offered me an extension on my warranty but that doesn’t help the fact that I can’t use it. Somehow this will forever be one of my biggest regrets. I’m editing this to add that Support has asked me to take the entire machine apart and put it back together myself. I’m not going to be doing that, as I refuse to let them give me a reason to void my warranty (which I can’t find any documentation of so it’s practically useless). I’ll say it again: DONT. DO. IT. 1/27/23: I’ve been through the escalation and appeals process on this. If you have any issues after 30 days (you will), they won’t do anything for you. So only buy this machine if you have $500 to gamble away.

Shake, rattle, and roll - it does all three, plus much more
Update: The company contacted me via Amazon and offered a full refund if I replied “Full Refund”. When I replied, they asked me to contact their support department outside of Amazon. The contact info was included as an image attached to the message. I contacted their support department at the email address provided hoping they could actually help me resolve the issues I’ve experienced and have detailed below. It has been more than a month and I have yet to receive a reply. The first part, including third party contact information in an image, seemed shady. Not bothering to reply seems on point for their customer service. The switching to automatic mode and speeding up and down issue still happens regularly and at random. It’s terribly dangerous, to say nothing of infuriating when you get in a groove. Pro: This thing has helped me passively go from sedentary to well over 10K steps a day in two months, all while working at my existing standing desk. I barely notice I'm walking/exercising, and the impact on my health and fitness has been immense. I've walked over 600K steps and 250 miles on this Walkingpad and conceptually, it's great and helps me work towards my activity goals during the harsh New England winter. The size and folding design are great for leaving the pad open at my desk all the time, or folding it in half and tucking it away when my office becomes a guest bedroom. It's comfortable enough to stand on in bare feet or shoes, though I only ever walk on it in shoes. That being said, it is not a treadmill. The max speed is a relatively fast paced walk of 3.7mph. The lack of handrails or a fixed bar at the front mean it should only be used at a standing desk or similar static reference point. Meh: Static electricity build up can be nill to extreme, even while wearing rubber soled shoes. I'm quasi addicted to using the device while working, and its flaws have me fearing it's going to die and leave me stationary. The pad is rather narrow and you have to be anchored to a desk or directly in front of something you can see at all times, lest you have no frame of reference for the surface on which you're walking. I'm typing this at my desk while walking at 3.5mph and have no issues remaining dead center on the walking surface. Attempting to place the pad in the middle of my office facing a wall mounted TV was precarious. Cons: The product suffers from numerous, serious flaws that vascilate between inconvenient to downright dangerous. For $500 and at the top of the price range for these things, I expect more. At $250 I'd expect this. Double the price of the next cheapest make, not so much. 1. The app connectivity and activity recording are hit or miss. The app generally is... fine to awful. Logic and design elements were clearly put together by 42 different people all working alone in different states, with no communication between parties. Lost and untracked activity are a regular thing. If you're motivated by numbers and hope to quantify and add to your activity in the KS Fitness and connected health and fitness apps, good luck. Once connected to the KS Fitness app, the Walkingpad can be controlled from and your activity tracked in app. The KS Fitness app adds details to Apple Health and from there you can track progress, total steps, distance, time, et al. Unfortunately, if you do not connect the app in one particular order or another, your progress is not recorded and cannot be sync'd back to the phone at all. Zero. Zilch. Nada. If you don't remember to record the data during your activity, you gets nothing. ex. I walked for an hour or two during my workday, starting and stopping the Walkingpad with the included remote. When I went back later and connected my phone to the device, expecting it to sync the day's activity: nothing. No prompt. No "Was this you?" Like it never happened. You'd imagine this is no big deal as the activity itself is the goal, but if you're a quantified-self type, this can be an issue. Similarly, once the pad is in motion and the app connected, there is no way to exit the control screen. You can close the app or turn off the screen, but there is no navigation in the app once it reconizes the device is in motion. There are myriad options on the control screen, so it's not a safety feature - you can get lost in half a dozen control features from this screen, but there is no other navigation in the app unless you completely end the activity session. No progress graphs, history, or other settings. As dumb as a treadmill control screen, but more prone to crashing. What constitutes an activity session is entirely random. Sometimes pausing (not stopping) and stepping off the device will immediately end a session and add it to the day's activity list. Othertimes a single day's activity, starts, stops, hour long lunch breaks, et al, will accumulate as a single activity. Launching the app while in proximity to the device should reconnect the two. Most of the time I have to manually hit "reconnect". Sometimes the app will fail to connect to the walking pad at all and will spin and spin. Turn it off and on again, app and sometimes Walkingpad to resolve. Randomly the app will tell you it or the device have had some communications fault and offer to Shutdown or Dismiss. This has only occured while the belt was stopped/the device not in motion. 2. The included remote, connectivity, and automatic mode are glitchy at best, terrifying at worst. The remote operates on 2.4GHz, the same as Wifi, Bluetooth, your microwave, and a million other devices. Randomly throughout the day, whether or not in use, and in conjunction with no particular activity around me, I hear the walking pad beep and find it has switched modes from Manual, my preference, to Automatic. If you're walking on the thing, this means it can and will change the speed of the pad without input, based on ill defined, seemingly random, criteria. Automatic mode cannot be disabled. Likewise, there are times where the remote will not function at all, in motion or stopped. The remote sits on my desk while I'm working and walking. I start/stop the belt with the remote and adjust the speed as needed. Several times per weeks, often in a single day, the buttons on the remote simply do nothing. The device fails to start, stop, or change speed up or down. Again, dangerous as hell. The only other controls are on your phone or the buggy logic that is meant to stop the device if there is no human. 3. Squeaks, rattles, rolls, and shakes are a part of life. The rollers at the back of the thing will wobble for no apparent reason, and precisely following the instructions to adjust it result in different noises and rattles. It's a crapshoot of trying to get the device back into alignment with an allen key and two screws at the back end. 4. The walking belt will begin moving towards one side or another on the back roller. The instructions tell you to slowly turn the adjustment screws at the back 1/4 turn at a time, but good luck figuring out the proper or expected alignment. It's all relative to some random happenstance, much like the remote. No indicators or marks on the back roller indicate either adjustment screws position, so you can't match the sides up or even it out, even straight out of the box. Trial and error. If you fail to notice this and manage to get it back into the random, required alignment, the roller will begin eating and fraying the belt. 5. The belt, front roller, and motor will do the same wonky misalignment and wobble. The front roller is under the plastic shroud and cannot be adjusted at all. Your best bet is to fold the Walkingpad at the middle and move the belt to some variety of center on the front roller. Maybe it'll work and the wobble will go away. Often times not. 6. Random popping noise Walking away the first few days I begin hearing a rythmic popping noise. Belts all seem to be aligned. I stop, fold the thing in half and begin yet another inspection. Lifting the belt I find a bubble in the plastic surface upon which the belt glides, similar to an air bubble under adhesive or laminate. Not wanting to pop the thing and ruin the surface or belt, I began crab walking across the middle of the belt, hoping to push the air bubble towards the folding break. Mixed results here and I've just stopped hearing the pop. Even with its myriad negatives, I can't find a better option (on Amazon anyhow) at any price point. The folding design and unobtrusive size are key to making it easy to live with. The lower priced, 5 rando letter company name versions are junk, and larger, more expensive, full on treadmills do not fit under my desk. Considering how beneficial this device has been to my day-to-day activity, I may have to bite the bullet and buy a fully manufactured, integrated walking desk. Then again, with higher end, commercial units starting at $1,800 and running up to more than $13,000 for the Nordic designed walking art, I may just walk these things to death and replace them as need be.

Works but with big flaws. Cheap fan.
Would I buy this product again? Yes, but only because there seem to be no alternative that can fold and be stored vertically. Thats the big selling point of this product for me. Easy to store away. I use it with a standing desk and get a lot of steps in walking at 2km/h and it works well during a lot of overhead at work. Writing emails etc is no problem when, when I need to concentrate I have to sit down. The bad: This thing got occasionally loud that didn't sound healthy when turned on (but never afterwards). Stopping/starting it 1-3x unusually fixes the problem. Support: not helpful, they asked me to take it apart. And that video has only English subtitles and misses important information like that glued strip where it wasn't clear if there was another screw or not. Months later I took it apart and the culprit is the fan. That's how I learned that the fan is also the loudest part of it. It's a cheap 50cent fan, every computer fan is better and quieter. The app is horrible. Reports multiple times the same amount of steps to my iPhone. It's great if you did 100,000 steps in a day... I had to disable that entirely. Also doesn't work well with the Apple Watch or iPhone identified steps. Accurate steps while working is only possible with my phone in my pocket. The app also can't reduce the speed to 0.5km/h -- which can be done by the remote. I walk, step quick off to get some water, and the treadmill turns itself off. At the same time, sometimes it just runs non-stop when I step down. Nothing is predictable. I step down, turn it off (or it auto-turn offs), all good? Hell no, let's just automatically turn itself on, so I turn it off off, then it turns itself on again... this thing has its own alter ego that does what it wants. Or it sits idle for a few hours in sleep mode. Then it starts to randomly do some beeps. Halloween is over, the electronic of this treadmill is bad enough that people might think I live in a haunted house... I am not happy about it. I guess I get my steps in, so I should be happy. But overall I am disappointed by the quality of the fan, electronic with its random behavior and app. I wish there would be a different brand, especially at this price the issues aren't acceptable.

Decent Value
It’s certainly compact and folds nicely. It’s easy to use. Virtually no set up required, which is greatly appreciated. It’s not quite as easy to move as they show in the video. Overall, I think it’s pretty good value.

Decent but could be better
Overall this product works well and meets my needs. However there are a couple annoying things that could be improved. Allow changing speed units from mph to km/h. This seems really obvious, especially since the max speed is defined in km/h. The KS Fit app it connects with has the ability to change units, but just not for this product for some reason. This seems like an easy firmware update, assuming it’s possible to do that. Occasionally, the walking pad will beep at me and randomly switch from manual to automatic mode when I’m not using it. This seems odd, shouldn’t it just stay in standby mode?

Terrible Experience
This is a third party seller with no after service care from the authentic company. The remote did not work and I was fortunate to return it. These sellers should not be allowed to sell on Amazon.

Small things will easily break leaving the entire treadmill useless
The plug broke inside the machine and the warranty was still up. After a long debate, they just sent a new plug and asked me to open the machine myself and replace it. This ended up with the machine shorting my power bar and me not wanting to open the machine again. Also, don't buy the Amazon Warranty because that is also just a huge scam where they will not help you at all if the device is still under the manufacturer's warranty and won't help you after. Horrible experience
