Well made, with black plastic handle. Would have given it 5 stars except a dozen or more bristles fell out as I was "fanning" it with my hand to see if there was any lint in it. All new brushes need to be cleaned thoroughly before using because they do have lint and small dust particles from their manufacturing.

these seem good for a small project or light use but they did loose hairs which is something one may wish to avoid in certain cases (high quality alternatives are much more expensive)

After 3 uses the bristles started coming out, first just 2 or 3 then on the third coat 8-10 came out. the item I was painting was 6"X12" so it was not a large area overworking the brush in any way.

I bought this to apply varnish to a tabletop I was refinishing and it's been outstanding. A few loose bristles at first, so watch carefully.

Great brush, and I would recommend it. But I have always been pleased with Wooster brushes, and the china hair makes all the difference.

This brush had bristles braking off with in ten minutes of use. I tried cleaning and pulling on any loose ones I could see but they kept falling off every other stroke... Not good when you are using Varnish..
