New Vamps on the Block
This book has been sitting quietly on my Kindle since October last year (along with a lot of others) and as there are now three to read in the series I decided yesterday that it was time to 'dip my toes'. I had already purchased the second book and have now downloaded the third on the strength of the first one.I have read all the available reviews and have to agree with the readers who awarded five stars. The sniffy person who pretty much said that it was a boring waste of time and that it has all been done before seems to have missed the point. Whether the main characters are Vampire, Werewolf, Fae or Alien interacting with Humans or just good old fashioned Human/Human the stories all portray the inherent love vs hate, loyalty vs betrayal, kindness vs cruelty that is always present in life (or unlife)and yes, it has all been done before by every writer who has ever put pen to paper. It doesn't actually have to be Shakespeare to be worthy of being read. Get over yourself already. There is nothing new to be written of under the sun just different points of reference. Some are just better than others, and I have read an awful lot of dross; Ms Sandlin is not in my column headed 'Dross'.I thoroughly enjoyed this book and expect to also enjoy the next two.

An interesting story
I tend to like fantasy books and this was no exception, like most ebooks for Kindle they do a very good deal to get you interested in the author and then with subsequent books the price always goes up. I tend to wait to see if any offers come up and then buy at my price point.

Fabulous vamp romp!
Just when I thought I couldn't take any more fangs and blood lust I found myself reading this book and I loved it. It's fresh and fast paced and really got me thinking at times, the characters are very real and human, even the vamps. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I would highly recommend to those who like paranormal romance, especially now that Sookie Stackhouse has gone and left us!

The Penton Vampire Legacy #1
What a great start to a series. Enjoyed the dynamic between Krys and Aiden, not too cheesy. Any hopefully in the following books some of the other characters stories will be told. Can't wait :)

The Penton Vampire Legacy
Nice read about a supernatural community and the people involved. Personally I enjoy books with community based story lines so in that sense this book did not disappoint. You are also able to get a feel for how the series will progress and have an strong understanding of the other lead characters. I will definitely be buying the next in the series.

Excellent
One of 3 books in the Penstion Vampire Series, but waiting for number 4! I like all 3 books and would recommend it to anyone who likes their stories to have that Vampire twist to a love story, but these also have a great survival story that goes with it!

A very good read
I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about when they talk about Stockholm syndrome. This book sets up what I think is going to be a good New series.

Grown up vampires? Yes! They're here! I loved Redemption and I will read more.
Tasteful, filled with a story you can sink your teeth into, and wonderful writing.Set in a contemporary fictional world of Penton, Alabama, Redemption tells the story of a man turned vampire ages ago. Aidan Murphy wants the best for his people after a pandemic leaves vampires out in the cold with no humans to feed from. He comes up with a civilized plan where vampires and humans can coexist. I loved Aidan's valiance. He's no predator. He's a true leader. In order to lead his people he hires a doctor for the town of Penton - a human woman named Krys. Krys becomes the love of Aidan's new life, and she also helps Aidan find his Redemption. I loved her. She's a strong heroine, no nonsense, and once she falls for Aidan there's no turning back. The town of Penton must work together to stop a ruthless foe - Aidan's brother Owen. Sandlin pulled no punches when she designed the perfect adversary for Aidan and his crew. Owen's financial backers are even scarier than he is. A satisfying plot marches right upside the heart tugging romance in this first book in The Penton Legacy.Loved all of her secondary characters. Mirren, Will, And Lucy were fun to watch, and I enjoyed hating Matthias Ludlam and his cronies.I'll definitely read more of this series. I'd recommend Susannah Sandlin to anyone who likes paranormal romance.Treat yourself to a Good Read.
