I don't know what I would have done without it
For doing inner tie rod ends I have no idea how I would have done it without this tool. Honestly great, super well built, and fixed my issue!

Worked for my 2020 Subaru Forester
I used this on my 2020 Subaru Forester to replace a bent inner tie rod end. I was concerned after reading some of the other reviews here, but the tool fit fine in my case. For my car, I used one of the smallest adapters 1 3/16". You do have to put the proper adapter on the tie rod end first, then slide the tool over the tie rod bar into the adapter, and turn the metal clip to lock the adapter into place. The head of the tool can fit any of the width sizes of a tie rod head, but the pipe part is exactly 1 1/2" wide and the head can only accommodate a 1/2" deep tie rod head wider than 1 1/2". So if your tie rod head is no more than 1/2" from the base to the groove for the wrench, OR it is under 1 1/2" wide, then this tool will work. My tie rod was so bent that I couldn't use the tool to remove the old one because it wasn't straight enough to fit in the tube - so I ended up using a pipe wrench for that. But the tool worked great for tightening the new one with my 1/2" drive torque wrench.

it worked
it worked for what i needed it for but the tube is a bit small , did not fit the knuckle on a 98 lumina , factory inner tie rod, will not fit in to be able to lock the ring but still got the job done so gets a 4 star rating

Priced very well
Kit removes & installs 'inner sockets' or also named 'inner tie rods' on rack & pinion type steering on cars, trucks & vans. Why did I purchase? Priced very well. My 25+ yr snap-on tool only has 6 crowsfoots & I do notice they sometimes don't fit well. This new tool set has 12 different sized crowsfoots. This tool works as well as my snap-on tool. Some helpful hints -Sometimes it's easer to remove inner socket using a big adjustable crescent wrench. You still need this tool to torque the new inner socket. -Do not use tool with an impact gun to remove inner sockets. You "will" damage/ warp to the tool's end -Always apply Lock-Tite on new inner socket's threads. -Inner socket's average torque specs is around 35-45 lb torque. -"Some" inner sockets have a round head (not many)... This tool will not work -See 2nd & 3d pics of tool needed if your inner socket is round headed (not a 6 point head that allows a tool to fit on). Both rings grip on inner socket & turn using a ratchet & socket on tool's bolt to loosen/ tighten. Not common but just in case now yous now.

Dangerously Loose Fit โ Don't Waste Your Money on This Junk
This tool does not work at all. I bought the tool and adapter set hoping it would make work easier, but it's an absolute disaster from the moment you try to use it. The adapters simply do not fit precisely into the toolโthere's a noticeable gap between the adapter and the tool that renders the whole thing useless. When you apply any torque, the adapters separate even further because of the extra space in the gap, preventing it from working correctly. I've double-checked my setup multiple times, but it's clear this is a manufacturing flaw, not user error. As for the positive reviews out there? Either those folks got a lucky early batch before quality tanked, or they haven't actually tested it under load and mistaken "barely functional" for "good enough." Save yourself the frustration โ steer clear and invest in something that actually works. Would I recommend? Absolutely not. Return it if you can.

Made tie rod removal and installation easy
Made removing and installing the tie rod super easy. Just find the adapter that is the size of your rod and put it into the long tube. Only wish it had like a lock to hold the piece you need in place. It sometimes slips off.

Solid build
Looks like a well made product; just didn't fit. We had to return it. Curiously it would have worked on the replacement item (if I ever needed to remove it.)
