Buy a Royal typewriter-you can’t go wrong…
They keys pressed on the keyboard, did not coincide with what was typed. Turned off the typewriter and back on-worked perfectly from there on. Very nice product. Royal is an excellent brand. As I used to have a manual typewriter, same brand, 40 years ago. I advise everyone to buy this typewriter.

Might be more than you need.
The typewriter has a lot of features that are very difficult to navigate and master. Bottom line is, the typewriter is fine it’s just too complicated for my simple needs.

This is a great replacement for IBM Electric.
Top quality mechanically and it really erases better than I have had with my Selectric II. This is the typewriter to buy, but not if you type 90 wpm like I do.

What a piece of junk!!!
Needed a typewriter for light typing: checks, simple forms, etc. This is typewriter is not well engineered. After using an IBM Selectric II this is like going from a Rolls Royce to a rusty Corvair. First, the paper roll has only one handle - on the left. Only 10% of us are left handed and I'm not one of them. It is very hard to set the margins and they don't stay set. After a little use they default to some factory setting? Also, does not type well on certain types of paper, particularly paper that is a bit slick. Correction ribbon doesn't work well and corrections take a lot of time. Could not recommend!!!
