Great for cold weather
Just got this case last week. I also had a case from them for my garmin 76 csx. This case is not as tight fitting as the 76 case, but that is fine with me, the 78 is still secure in the case and with the little bit of extra room i can leave the strap on attached on the gps.i am using my gps for laying out cut block boundaries for logging. Before i used the case my batteries (nimh rechargeables) would drain in 3-4 hours because of the cold weather (-10 to 10 farenheit). Not sure how, but the case seems to insulate the gps and battery use has gone back to about 12-15 hours per set.Unfortunately, the string that is attached to the zipper has already been pulled off while I was crashing through the bush, but i can easily tie another piece of string to it to replace it. Also, my case for my 76 came with 2 screen protectors but they don't include them now with the cases for the 78. I ended up just using the extra screen protector on my 78.Overall, this is a very good case and worth the price.

Perfect case for GPSmap78 series
Really nice cover. Haven't gotten to use it in the water yet, but the funky looking texture is very easy to grip.The GPS is much easier to hold and control with the case on.I also like how much it is raised around the screen, it definitely helps keep it out of harms way.

A must have for mountain biking!
Wanted to use my GPS Map78s on my mountain bike, I found the GizzMoVest and boy am I glad I did. This product is well worth the money, it held my GPS on my handle bars with 2 cable ties and never moved, I was able to read and operate the GPS while riding on the trail. I had considered using a ram mount but from past experiences I knew that they are easly riped off from even a minor crash or from a tree branch catching it and a ram mount offers no protection for the unit, also they vibrate so bad that it is impossible to read them unless you are stopped. When you hold the GizzMoVest in your hand, you will have no doubt about it's ability to protect your GPS, it is a quality made in the USA piece of equipment.

Great Cover
This is a great security investment for hard core use of the Garmin GPS. I've had my 78Sc in this case for well over 5k blue sea miles now and I love it. The zipper is top quality, the landyards for the zipper and neck-strap are great, and the positive grip and feel of the protective shell is reassuring. In my opinion you don't want to spend the money on a GPS without protecting it with a case like this.
