Rawlings Liberty Advanced Fastpitch Softball Glove Series

My daughter was reluctant to get a new glove, but she grew out of her 10U glove. She’s a 12U pitcher and we bought her a 12.5” glove (she has large hands). I think it’s large enough to use for the rest of her career, but no so large that she cannot play infield with it. Although initially stiff, the glove broke in easily (about 3 days of use). She now loves this glove.I was concerned about the white, but once it gets dirty (in first 30 minutes), it looks like any other glove (meaning, not a tacky white).Also the adjustable wrist strap is very convenient. I highly recommend this glove. We considered the Heart of Hide, but decided against it after reading reviews and product description. Heart of Hide is a baseball glove that’s marketed for both baseball and softball. I was concerned about developing a large softball pocket in a baseball glove.This is the glove for serious Fastpitch players.

Short review: The Rawlings Liberty Advance 12.5” glove is a solid purchase at this price point. Quality, durability and ease of breaking-in are its strengths.Long review: It was our experience with the Rawlings Liberty Advance 1st Base Mitt (I posted a separate review) that brought us to make a purchase of this glove, too. My daughter’s primary position in travel ball is first base, but from time to time, may spot fill 3rd base depending on how a game is going. In high school thus far, she plays more 3B than 1B. Like the Liberty Advanced first base mitt, this fielder’s glove didn’t require a very long breaking-in period; just your basic throwing and catching, and wrapping it with two softballs when not in use did the trick for us. It took about three weeks before it was really game ready, but a full month before my daughter felt it was flexible enough to give her full confidence.The glove has performed reliably under a variety of conditions with competition ranging from high school ball to 14UA and 14UA Elite. The only complaints my daughter has was where on a few occasions, a ball had gotten “stuck” in the glove and it was difficult for her to quickly pull it out and make an urgent throw. The amount of time she spends at 3rd base is 1/20th of what she spends at first, so this glove hasn’t seen nearly the same amount of action as her primary one — and it still has some indications of being relatively new despite being nearly three years old at the time of this review (note: it was purchased here on Amazon). I can only assume that her singular issue could possibly be rectified with more substantial use in the future.Overall though, it is a solid utility glove and should provide her many seasons of high performance and reliability. I would recommend it for both new and seasoned fastpitch players.

"Santa" brought this for my daughter who plays 18U travel ball. She cried when she opened the packaging. Tears of joy. She says that this glove had no break in time. It was perfect right out of the wrapping and has been practicing all winter with it. Her favorite glove, ever! This glove replaced a Louisville LXT glove that she has had for 2 seasons of travel ball. That glove was loose on her and she had to wear her batting glove under it, which stunk to high heaven. Not the case with the Rawlings. The Rawlings is also a larger glove, which, for an outfielder, is a must.

I have used this glove for a year now so I feel like I can give a good review. Unfortunately it doesn’t matter how much I try to break in this glove... it will not get sticky. When you are diving after a ball it should stick. I wouldn’t waist your time or money on this glove. Spend a little more and get a better quality glove. I even took it in to have them break it in and use glove conditioner on consistently.

It took us a minute to break this glove in, but once broken in my 8yr old travel ball daughter loves this glove. Seems very well made and I think with proper conditioning and care it will last her a good long time. Of course the white gets filthy quickly out on the field, but can't tell you how many people I've seen pick up this glove admiring it when she's not around. Glad I shelled out some of those Amazon Reward points I had to pick her up this glove.

Bought this glove for my daughter who plays 16u travel softball. She loves how well it fits and the color of the glove. She stared using it right away didn’t have to break it in much. She loves the glove so much she named it Lilo

Fantastic glove! Bought the pitcher/outfielder glove and my 15 year old loves it at 3rd base. Received it on a Wednesday and used it by Friday with fantastic results! Never bought a new glove that was so easily broken in! Well made and sturdy. Fits well. Great adjustments available.

No complaints. 13 year old daughter uses as a pitcher and 3rd baseman. Took only a few weeks to work oil in. Great glove!

Se siente firme, de buen material y muy suave para usar de inmediato. Mi hija de 9 lo sintió muy bien. Lástima que tuve que regresarlo porque ella es zurda y llegó para diestro.
