Maybelline New York Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick, Orange Obsession, 0.26 fl. oz.

I received this product to try, and while I'm not usually a big fan of "liquid" matte lip color, I was pleasantly surprised with the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid. First off, it is not so much a true liquid as more of a soft, mousse-like formula. It applies nicely, and it is easy to keep the product within the lip line thanks to its skinny, doe-foot style applicator. It is said that you can achieve two different looks by either applying one thin coat for a bold matte look, or two coats for a soft, creamy look. I tried this, and discovered that while applying one coat sparingly you have less of a chance of smudging, you really need two full coats to develop the true color. This lipcolor feels extremely comfortable on the lips - no dry, cracked lips - and as the color fades away it leaves a nice stain (especially the darker color). I received two shades, Nude Thrill and Rebel Red, and I am loving them both! The nude shade is perfect for everyday, while the red is bright and bold and perfect for adding some punch to your look. My only complaint is the scent..it's quite floral, like an old perfume...not really fruity, but sort of sweet. I prefer a true fruit or vanilla scent for lip products, but this floral fragrance is not horrible, just unexpected. Overall, I am very pleased with this product, and intend to purchase addition colors!Though this item was received free of cost to me, all opinions are my own and based solely on my experience with said product.

I'm so happy I'm able to order this. I've used it for years and really like it! This is the Nude Thrill. I have others amd will order again.

Nice color however it does not last on lips

Its the worst Maybelline product I have ever bought, is not as described in the details, it does not last more than 5 minutes, color changes from dark purple to pink, messes up and also peels the skin, has a weird smell. Would not recommend to anyone, complete waste of money.

I received the shades Nude Flush and Rebel Road for free from Influester. I LOVE liquid matte lipsticks and could not wait to try these even though they were Maybelline which is great drugstore makeup but their long lasting lip products have left me very sad in the past. These new vivid matte are the business though! My favorite shade is nude flush which is a nice soft pink. I don't really care for the rebel road which is like an orangey red but it's perf for the summer so whatever.The stuff is creamy and velvety and will not dry up your lips like most liquid matte's. However, I do recommend scraping 80% of lipstick off applicator before applying because all you need is a small amount or it will feel like a creamy mess on your face. It does NOT apply patchy, it last, and it feels great. It will "kiss and tell" though which is to say that you will leave hints of your lipstick on your coffee cup, etc but the color stains your lips so it's ok. It's easy to take off with make up remover and it's pretty affordable. I do give only four stars however because the applicator could use some serious work. It's too long and it creates the potential for a lot of wasted product. But for $8 I would buy nude flush for the rest of my life. It's one of my favorite lipsticks now, even compared to my KVD Lolita and my Too Faced Melted Mattes.If you're new to liquid mattes, just want a deal, or can never have enough, buy one of these colors. Oh but another reason for only 4 stars, get some more shades Maybelline! I want variety and I want it now!

Very cute color. Its on the blue scale of grays. It foesnt dry matte, stays creamy almost like an oil rather than a gloss.

Some have said this is more of a creamy lipstick than a liquid matte. I think It’s important to keep in mind the label. The directions state to apply a very thin layer for long lasting matte. I find that a have to run the applicator around the lip of the bottle to remove much excess lipstick prior to applying. I like one coat this way, putting it on thicker makes it highly transferrable. If you just wait a little while it will dry when a thin coat is applied and still has great color. The rebel red is extremely bold! I loved the nude flush, it was close to my natural lip color with much more pink for a fun look. Another thin coat will provide more of a moussey/creamy look. A thick coat is not necessary to achieve this look and will actually stay wet that way and come off on anything that touches your lips at all. This smells nice, almost no scent, and will last for several hours, eventually fading away to a light stain. The only catch is testing them and sharing your reviews of the products on your various social media outlets. My VoxBox this time (that’s what they call their packages) was from Maybelline. I received two different shades of their Vivid Matte Liquid, Rebel Red and Nude Blush.Let me just say, I’ve only tried these in my apartment, but I can’t wait to wear them out! One application and I’m already in love! Talk about crazy! They’re easy to apply with their application wands. They go on quite smoothly. Their wear is very soft. No stickiness like some liquid mattes I’ve tried. And the shades are SO vibrant! I didn’t wear them with liner like I do normally, but the Nude Flush didn’t look bad at all without it. With the Rebel Red I feel I personally need a liner under it. The shade doesn’t sit completely well with my complexion, but a liner under it should fix that swimmingly.I’d definitely give both these colors a 10/10! Can’t wait to try other shades from this line!
