Q: Are these long enough to lace up roller blades?

I'm using mine with "regular" trainers - work-out shoes, so I'm not sure. What I can tell you is that they're very, very long! I love these...they're super fun, and I ran a race when them lacing up my super-fast shoes...magical!

Q: Do they work well for rollerskates?

Yes! My teenage daughter loves them in her rollerskates.

Q: Is there a way to use these and be able to hide that battery pack other than smack dab on the front of the shoe?

no but when light out you do not see battery box. I order 3 more.
