Significantly reduces bites and their itchiness. You need to use this as soon as you notice the bite so you can extract as much as you can. If you leave it too long you’ll just create unnecessary bruising. Using this first and then a cream is a game changer.

I almost escaped a whole holiday with just one bite, and then the last night came along and one of the pests must have got in the room, because I woke up with about 15 new bites. They were so, so itchy. Creams never work! So gave this a go. So glad I did! The itching stopped pretty much instantly, could even see horrible yellow goo in the Bug Bite Thing so it definitely draws out the nasty stuff! I did bruise from using it, but i also bruise easily, and the bites were more more unsightly than some bruises! This got delivered on the 8th Oct, and the bites are pretty much gone now on the 15th! Using it doesn't hurt, maybe uncomfortable, but for a brief 20-30 seconds and it's worth it to remove the intense itchiness of bug bites. Anyway, I was dubious when I bought this. But I'm so glad I did. Such a simple device, but so effective and I will ensure it's in my holiday survival kit from now on! Such great value for money for something that can be used again and again, and small enough to take on holiday too!

Didn’t really work that well for me on a bite so bit disappointed. The item itself is fine, decent quality and functions as you would want it to, it just didn’t give me personally that much relief and I didn’t really notice a significant increase in recovery rate. May work better for others. Worth a try if your bites are driving you mad.

I rarely review anything, but this may be the best product I've ever bought. I suffer from severe allergic reactions to mosquito bites. When bitten my whole limb will swell up and blister, I won't be able to use it for days and then I'll have horrible bruising for weeks afterwards. I just got this today and was bitten soon afterwards. As soon as I spotted the bite it started to swell so I grabbed this and used it. It immediately stopped itching and the swelling went down. It's now a few hours since then and there's been no more swelling or blistering. I can't say how much this tool will improve my life. I'd recommend it to literally anyone and everyone.

The suction on this tool is very powerful and although it does a great job of removing the mosquito allergen, it left me with big round bruises. The bruises look worse than the bites and take days to disappear. As someone who gets bitten a lot by mosquitoes, this isn't a good solution for for me. I would not recommend this product for people with sensitive skin, or who bruise easily and definitely not for children! Perhaps this is better as an emergency tool for bee and wasp stings

This thing is an absolute godsend. It's incredible. It works - for small bites, I can usually use it once as soon as I notice the bite, and never think about it again. For larger, more serious bites it might be best to use it in combination with hydrocortisone or similar creams, but I'd never be without this in summer. So simple, yet so effective. Obviously, don't overdo the suction. Learn the limits of what does and doesn't leave a bit of a mark. Also, I find it works slightly better if the contact point is wet - especially on my hairy man legs.

Having recently been bitten by bugs in Mallorca whilst out cycling, I decided to try this for my cycling trip to France. As my boyfriend and I tend to cycle in the mountains which can be heavily tree lined and also have cows on the plains, I quite often get bit. I was a bit sceptical about this, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. It is a bit hit and miss with its effectiveness depending on how quick you get the bite. For me, mine tend to come out in the night so I used this is the morning on the swollen bites and then added Bite Pen lotion. I tended to pump at least 10 times and did this each time before I put on the bite lotion. It definitely help with reducing the lifespan of the swelling. It seemed to work better on my legs than the three bites I got on my arms (not sure why) and the swelling was gone very quickly for some bites and a few days for others. I was happy with this as last time I was bit in France the swelling lasted for 3 weeks. My boyfriend was impressed with this too and he had a few nasty bites as well. I am very happy with this purchase and it will be coming with me whenever I go somewhere that I could get bitten. I would recommend this.

This is the second one I have bought for our household. I won’t go outside without it. We are recent transplants to Florida, and these are the meanest mosquitoes I’ve ever met. Sure, the Louisiana mosquitoes are the size of hummingbirds, but they’re not real go-getters unless you’re in the swamp. These Florida mosquitoes are sociopathic. Insanely aggressive and their bites are nasty and itchy. AND THEY ARE IN OUR BACKYARD! Two days ago I was in the yard and was attacked by a gang of these creatures. They dive-bombed me from all angles and chomped down on me more or less simultaneously. Side note: At the same time I learned that “natural” bug repellent made with essential oils might work on less ambitious mosquitoes, but it didn’t work with these. I ran inside to avoid further attack and grabbed the Bug Thing. I had a huge bite on my forehead (one of 12 bites in total), and it itched like crazy. I didn’t want to do to my face what I did to my arm a few years ago, scratching like a maniac while I slept and ending up with a scarred arm and blood-stained sheets. So I busted out the Bug Thing. In my eagerness to get rid of the itching, and because the bite was big, I kept the suction going for a long time. Too long, as it turns out. I didn’t read the instructions with our first Bug Thing, because it seemed self-explanatory, but the devil’s always in the details, isn’t it? Turns out, there’s a big fat warning about not using it on your face. Who knew? (Everyone who read the instructions, but not the girl with the big purple circle on her forehead.) I regret NOTHING. This thing works amazingly well, and so what if I have a quarter-sized love bite on my forehead? Big whoop. THE BUG THING IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE ITCHING. Bruises go away; scars from fingernails, not so much. Another word of advice: I bought several of a knock-off brand, thinking, “It’s a plastic barrel with a plunger, how hard could it be to replicate?” I guess fairly hard, because the knock-offs were flimsy and I couldn’t really get a good vacuum with them. I mean, I guess I wouldn’t have been able to suck a ridiculous bruise to the surface of my face with one of the knock-offs, but I probably wouldn’t have been able to suck the itch juice out of my skin, either. I’d much rather have a bruise than a bite. Anyway, this thing is awesome, just don’t use it on your face…or do. I would100% do it again.

Used it four times this year alone during the summer season! I have had mine for over a year. It drastically reduce the pain level and the reaction of being stung by a bee, hornet, even mosquito bites! I even bought one for my son this year, who works outdoors as a first responder, and he used it on spider bites. A simple tool and yet so effective!

I tried this product last summer and now I got my own. For me it was a life saver as mosquitos usually do not leave empty spot on my body after my walk along the river bank. I don’t like using chemicals on my skin, so having this product truly is a life changer. My grandkids love it too, I feel safe for them to use it and they no longer have any itchiness after the bite. This product made in Denmark, it warrants great quality and many times in use. Highly recommended it.
