Everything you'd need for a short hike with 2 liters of water.
This is a great hydration pack with a surprising amount of storage for it's size. With the 20% off coupon, it cost me just over $20, great price, I think. Let's go over the details of the backpack. The 2L bladder is strong, with an easy-open large water fill cap for easy cleaning inside the bladder, and has a removable hose, via an o-ring and snap lock system that works well and feels very secure. The bite valve is comfortable and has a good flow rate. The cap is OK but for me, I just cut the protector cap off so I have direct access to the bite valve. The pack has several zippered pockets including an internal pocket in with the bladder storage area. The storage for the bladder is insulated with an aluminized mylar material. The back of the backpack is well vented so your back doesn't get as sweaty. The shoulder straps are well made and padded. Some other back packs aren't padded and will irritate my shoulders over time, especially if it has a full 2L bladder and other gear that adds weight to it. The snaps, locks, etc are well made and robust. There is both a chest strap and waist strap, if you want to use those features. The backpack has two left/right slots for feeding the hose to either left or right shoulder strap. Overall is an excellent backpack, regardless of price.

Good camel pack substitute
Doesn't leak and it was sealed up. I like the size, it is perfect for bike rides. The insulation mylar stuff is only on the side touching your back. The mouthpiece mechanism works ok and comes with a dust cap. Overall solid purchase, good price, decent quality and bpa free.

Great size
Bought this and another size backpack from this same maker for a hiking trip for me & my spouse. I wasn’t sure how much water was enough water so I went with 2L. The 2L bladder was more than enough for a day hike. We had .5L left on our longest hiking day. Time will tell if that’s enough for a long summer hike. There’s plenty of room for snacks and food as well. I had a hard sided sandwich container and several snack bars and soft sides snack containers and another small zip bag (about the size of med envelope) and a small container of baby wipes inside. I could have added an extra water to one of the outside pockets too. At one point I had to stash my full size canon camera in there to free up my hands. It fit perfectly even with the other items. The side pocket was perfect to carry a larger camera lense. The other side placket went unused but could have held another small water or umbrella. There are two front easy access pockets. The front zip pocket worked perfect for my ID and phone. The front pocket with no zip was deep enough that I could throw my chap stick in there and it didn’t fall out. My phone would have probably been fine in there too. The Insulated area for the hydration pack worked as expected but it’s probably not going to keep your water ice cold for an entire day, although it did keep it cool. This is my first bag with the hydration pack. It was great to not have to stop to dig out a water bottle. There’s a nice clip on the front to secure the hydration tube. The cord on the outside came in handy to stash jackets we no longer wanted to wear. I mentioned I bought two different backpacks, this one has a divider that separates the hydration pack making the inside space more useful. The other one did not have this. Overall I’m very pleased with this backpack. I would recommend it as a good option for day hikes and outings. I also bought a separate cleaning kit for the hydration portion. I couldn't figure out how to get the bite part off. There were no directions for that, or if there were, I didn’t see them. Had to do a fill, rinse and repeat clean before the first use and after.

No plastic taste
For me, the most important thing with a hydrating pack is that it doesn't taste like plastic. This one doesn't. Great size too for hiking or snowboarding. I like the fact that the tube is a little covered to protect from the cold

Junk
Water stopped flowing the 2nd day. Worked on it for several hours while on a boat on a lake. Nothing. Complete failure
