The fan blades were bent and so it vibrated really bad. I agree
I received the product fairly soon. The fan blades were bent and so it vibrated really bad. I agree, it puts out way to much heat out the vent. Even with double wall venting it can't be touched. Be sure to install a wall thimble through the wall of garage. It heats up the garage fast, and yes the thermostat is real cheap and looses it program. Either the factory has not quality assurance when assembling these devices or this unit was return and reshipped with out checking it out first. All the bolts were loose.

Like others my heater came a little bent up but the box didn't show very much damage. A side panel showed some damage as if it was dropped but the fairly thick metal was very malleable and easy to straighten. Again like several other customers commented the large air circulating fan had several blades that were bent our of center. I spent a little time balancing it as I would have a bicycle wheel and the heater now works very well. I did give up on the thermostat which was flaky. Having said all that the heater seems to have good components including a Robert Shaw smart valve and is working well. This went into my home garage and I was able to spend a little time working through the bugs. I'm not sure I would recommend this to a contractor who would be installing it for a customer because of the extra time it took to work through the problems. Having said everything I would buy it again I now have a good working heater that cost half what other alternatives would have.

This was a replacement heater for an older unit of the same size. It does not put out near as much heat as the old unit. It has a forced vent system. It puts as much heat out the flue pipe as it does inside. Even with double wall pipe, the pipe gets so hot you cannot touch it. This is not energy efficient, The thermostat does a poor job of controlling the temperature and has a tendency to loose it's memory. Wish I would have paid a little more and got a better product.

Well well well. after being on hold for 40 minutes for a draft blower motor they tell me it's not a replaceable part. After 1 heating season I have to replace this piece of crap because .....I have absolutely no idea how anyone can run a company like this. The first heater didn't work out of the box and was replaced. This one worked for a bit then the motor died. Now I have an anchor but no boat.

Only been in and working for a couple weeks but so far working great. Had to tweet a couple blades on the fan as it was vibrating but now running smoothly. Thanks. Don Sargent

Leave it where you found it
Do not buy if you are looking for a heater that is easy to install and works correctly right out of the box. The one we received - the box it came in was not damaged at all - but when we unpacked it the side of the unit was bent in and the fan was hitting the guard. VERY VERY disappointed! Someone had to have known this was damaged when they put it in the box. Doesn't anyone have any pride in their products anymore??
