Great for including the groom in an engagement basket
Groom thought it was great and he is actually going to read it. Started it the same day, so far so good. I skimmed it and it seemed humorous but with legit advice. This was a gift thrown into an engagement basket so the groom got something besides champagne and candy... made him feel a little special haha

Take the time to read this
It was bought for my future SIL cause he knew absolutely nothing, nada, zero...and now he's learned so much. Things that he wasn't told as he got older in life about the beginning of life with another person. GREAT book, I would recommend it to those that need that extra little push :)

For every groom
This was bought for my husband when we got married. I have now bought this for my two soon to be brother-in-laws. Basic and straightforward, with good advice.

One of few I would give to him.
It talks to them, not at them, that alone is a great starting place. However my favorite part is the bachelors party advice.... RESPECT! and lets him know about the other ways of doing it without disrespecting your soon to be wife! Many books, are written by pigs that tell them to just do it and if she has a problem thats her problem not yours. Not this book, thank goodness finally one that tells him to figure out where the boundaries are because wither they know them or not if one is crossed they are in-trouble. Im not against a good time, im against other women touching my man, him being near or at a stripper joint and his friends making an ass of him. Have a guys night, have a few beers but be respectful of how your bride is going to feel about the activities. If you want to play poker with "naughty" cards what ever, go for it. I dont share, so if your a woman looking for a guide to give in a time where so many think they can get away with ANYTHING on their bachelors night, this would be a good way to at least get the basic platform for expectations, if you have some about his, he is allowed to have some about your night out too.

Bought for Hubby, he didn't use
Looked very good as a gift! would recommend for a husband who would actually read it, but mine didn't. Would not recommend you buy it. altogether very good quality!

Some good pointers but most of the information presented is commonsense.
When I proposed to my fiancee we immediately started discussing our wedding plans. However, soon afterwards, it became apparent that we had different ideas as to what our wedding should entail. The differences were mainly cultural though as I am an Australian and my fiancee is an American. My fiancee recommended this book as a result and said that it may help me gain a better understanding of what American weddings usually entail. After having read the book though, I can honestly say there wasn't anything written that I really didn't already know. There were some nice little hints and tips, but overall, I would only recommend this book for those grooms who are overwhelmed when it comes to planning their weddings.

but it's actually been useful to the groom
I bought this as a novelty, but it's actually been useful to the groom. There's some pretty good tips in it and it's now being passed on to the next groom. The groom said, in slight jest, "it pretty much says to let the bride have what she wants and make sure I pay for everything". :) But jokes aside it will tell the groom what situations might come up while planning a wedding and what he should do.
