Plug and play for my e28 usa diesel
Installed about 2yrs ago still working great. Used in bmw 524td 1986 usa model. Nice thing is if your gauges are jumping then it is NOT the board and that its in your wiring. This is a great board. I even have the engine health leds light up but I think because I'm constantly removing the battery it ends up resetting I have not looked long enough to see if it is tracking engine rpms over time as it uses engine rpms not miles driven.Yes it was expensive but Ivo is not making his anymore.

Go for it if you have the means
It was a perfect fit on my Euro M635CSi from 1984. No more service interval and oil change warning lights. Even the OBC started to get the correct data (speed, range, consumption). Expensive but makes wonders.

Does what it says on the tin
I bought one of these many years ago for my E28 BMW and have had no more SI LED related problems since. I can highly recommend it to anyone who still has the old board with soldered batteries in their E28/E24. If, like me, you don't have an airbag steering wheel then this can be fitted in about 60-90 mins.
