Can anyone tell me how thick the jaws are on these?

The manufacturer (Engineer Inc.), have a specifications table on their product page ....http://www.engineer.jp/en/products/pa09e.html ....the column you need is the one headed Dies T(mm) (the T is short for thick)

Will these work with molex 505153 crimps?

Yes, the molex 505153 is for AWG 22-24 and this tool covers AWG 20-32. as with all small crimps it is fiddly to use and you will ruin a few connectors before you get the knack. It is not a single stage crimper. I find it best to crimp the conductor first then the insulation.

Will this crimp tool crimp connectors for the jst ach type connectors?

Having researched jst ach type connectors it is evident that the PA-09 crimp tool is suitable.

Will they work with jst sm connectors?

With practise I think yes. I have found them excellent for the price. Very small connectors are difficult unless you pay out for crimper many hundreds of pounds. Had cheaper crimper but they all went in the bin. Buy the best you can afford!
