Easy assembly. Functions as it should. Only complaint is I wish we could select the chain colors. Otherwise, I'm pleased.

Works as advertised. I put this up with a set of wood 4x4 posts in a basement studio. The hardware and brackets work well and it is sturdy. So far so good after several months. The chains don't break but it's easy to remove and replace the paper rolls once you have them in place.You do need a sturdy place to mount it. I would make sure you are going into wall studs. It has some anchors but I just put 4x4 wood posts compressed from floor to the ceiling to make sure that this would hold the weight of 3 paper rolls without ripping out the sheet rock / walls.I gave 4 /5 stars because it's well made but not refined. It could use some rubber on a few things and the plastic chains, work well but feel pretty flimsy in your hands. It's a bit difficult to shorten and break those chain links apart to adjust it.If you have to have a tall setup in a larger studio the chains might be a bit short as well. Overall it's good for a small studio setup for starters. It's easy to put together and pretty straight forward.

Ive been a photographer utilizing a backdrop stand for 7 years. I hated how bulky they were and easy to tip. Since I got my own studio space I knew that I wanted to get myself a wall mount. I did a lot of research and saw a lot of negativity regarding the electronic one so I opted for this instead. I was worried anything more than 3 was going to be too bulky and take up too much of my wall. installation was okay. The instructions could be more helpful and the mounting screws were something my husband and I had never seen before so that took a little brain power to figure out but all in all not that difficult to execute once you figure out what you need to do. So far (Knock on wood), they have been holding strong and I can tell you with certainty none of my screws are in studs. I have lowered and raised backdrops several times without issue.

I own a Neewer product that is nearly identical to this one, but it is ~$40 more expensive (still cheaper than the kit from Impact). I assumed they all came from the same factory in China, as all of these products are mostly identical.This generic one has terrible looking welds and uneven spray paint coating on the black mounts. The weights are a little bigger in size than the Neewer weights, and they are filled with weighted beads that make noise if rattled in their cheap plastic case. The Neewer version mounts have much better QC in the welds, perfectly even black coating, and the weights are solid and much more minimal.So this must be the same thing but with corners cut to make it cheaper, because they otherwise seem identical. Though I don't know if the chains suffer from any QC issues... If you're really tight on budget and this is going in a studio that is more industrial and/or aesthetics don't matter to you... then I'm sure this would serve its role just fine? But if you're stickler about that kind of thing (like I am for my home studio/office) then just go for the Neewer.
