I’ve only used this to clone from m.2 to m.2 but it does the job very quickly and with no fuss. Very satisfied with the ease of setup and reliability. Great for cloning small PC boot drives to larger ones or replicating for new machines.

There doesn't seem to be a way to do offline cloning of drives of the same type. I bought this specifically to clone a PCI E to PCI E SSD. It turns out it only seems to work if you want to go from SATA to PCI E, or vice versa. Very disappointing.

I had high hopes for this thing as it had decent reviews, but now I'm past my return window, so I'm stuck with this expensive piece of junk. It doesn't matter what kind of NVME or SATA drive you put in this dock, the functionality to connect it to a PC doesn't work. I tried on several occasions to hook this up to my PC to recover files for customers, and it doesn't function. No drives show on MY PC and it's almost like it just doesn't exist. Why is it so hard to make a piece of hardware that functions how it's supposed to?

This works well for cloning your M2 drive offline. You no longer need to plug this into PC to clone. All you need to do is plug the drives in and press clone. The progress cannot be seen in your pc but there is a percentage indicator on the device (25,50,75 percent). You also need to set which drive is being cloned. There is a small switch on right side. It is relatively easy to create a drive clone. Right now most of my upgrades are just putting in bigger size M2 drives since the prices are dropping. This device is a great way to clone the drive without needing to use a software or click and drag (for file transfer). This device was smaller than I expected. There is no case provided. You just need to plug the drive in and being the cloning. There is no locking mechanism to keep the M2 drive from being pulled out. It does get a bit warm when it is on and running. It uses passive cooling in order to keep the drives cool. It is pretty easy to install the M2 drive just make sure you do not put it at the angle or near anything that can bend the drive. Please note that you have the right drives as even I get confused sometimes on which drive is which with all the different names. This is a tool-less device. You insert the drive. The pieces hold the drive down pretty well so you do not have to worry about the drive popping up. I also had no issues cloning drives from smaller to bigger but I have not tried vise versa as I found no need to. Another thing to note is to make sure you set drives in the right bay is set for closing before beginning the process. I do not know what will actually happen if you put them in the wrong bay. It could erase all your data. That being said, always back up any important data before doing this in case anything happens. There is a progression bar up bottom to show how far the drive is on the cloning process. The cloning process can several hours or just 30 minutes but it varies based on the size of the drive and how much data there is. For me, it only took about an hour to clone my 1 TB M2 drive. The drives were about 50 percent filled. I am unsure if it set for sector to sector cloning or if the clone process is just for the amount of data is on the drive. When I plugged my m2 drive in, everything worked fine. My OS booted up like normal and no files so far seem to be corrupted or have issues. It is was successful clone. I tried it with several other computers and they worked fine. It does provide two different cables to connect to your M2 drive. They are type c to USB A and type c to type c. The cables are not short. I wish they were a bit longer so I can use this on my desktop easier and give a little slack to my laptop. That being said, the power cable is pretty long. You only need to use the power cable if you are using offline cloning. There is also an SD card slot so you can clone data from your SD card as well. It is not required if you are just connecting to your laptop. Another thing to note is to NOT pull the power during cloning. It could damage the drive. Overall this is a very nice device to have if you are trying to clone your drives. It does not require any tools and is very easy to just swap drives out to clone. You do not have to connect to your PC in order to clone and it is a simple press of a button. I do wish it had some kind of latch to keep the drive from being pulled out.

Good for what it is. I used it to clone an M.2 SATA drive to an M.2 NVMe drive and it worked great, no issues. Unfortunately it can't do NVMe to NVME, or SATA to SATA, so be aware of that. It also worked alright as a PC dock, but it seemed slower than it should be, and I wouldn't recommend it for daily use. It would work in a pinch though. Just remember that the drives end up being bare and just connected by friction, so be careful to not move it around while its in use. In the box you'll find everything you need (except the drives), including a power adapter, and two cables, one USB-A to USB-C and a USB-C to USB-C. You need to connect the power adapter to operate it, and if you need to connect it to your computer you can use one of the other provided cables (Use USB-C to USB-C if possible for better speeds).
