It can be used on that transmission. It's not a guarantee, but it won't hurt it.

No slipping, but engagement delay from "park to drive" , "park to reverse" and "reverse to drive...will this product help or cure this problem?

My 2001 f150 has the same problem. It is nothing to worry about as far as transmission issues goes. Sometimes the differential developed play between the gears which can cause a delayed and sometimes kick when putting it into any gear. I would recommend changing your differential fluid. It may not fix the problem but it is nothing to worry about. It’s a pretty common issue especially with older and high mileage vehicles.
