Q: This cannot be accessed via Windows?

I asked a similar question before purchasing these and did not get any unambiguous responses. I purchased 7 of them (including doorbell) and have installed two so far. The answer is "YES" you can access these through the Eufysecurity website via your Windows computer. The account setup is free and the system is web-based as opposed to local desktop application-based. It works well and is nice to review the cameras from a big screen in a convenient location. The caveat is that you cannot access the camera controls/settings from the free site. You can view live stream and replay last recorded video for each camera but I have not found the full array of controls that you get on the mobile app. My understanding is that you can get all of that functionality by signing up for the cloud-service which will run $10/month (for up to 10 devices). I have not signed up for that yet but intend to after all devices are installed. But the answer is YES, you can access these via desktop computer. I'll post this on other similar questions and update after I have the cloud service up and running.

Q: If I don't have enough sun, is the camera able to charge from the wall like the other cameras?

It comes with a USB-A to USB-C charging cable. The device uses the USB-C end. It does not come with a charging block. So, you need to buy one or have another device (e.g. computer) to plug the USB port in to charge it. You must dismount the camera (not the entire mount) to charge it unless you can figure out a way to modify the charging port (and possibly the camera mount also) to keep it sealed while charging.

Q: Does it require internet connection to function?

Yes, unfortunately. Eufy has made it impossible for this to work without Internet, I don’t understand why because there are times And places where you could use these cameras where there is no Internet.

Q: Will s40 work with a wifi extender ?

Yes, it can work with the wifi extender if only the wifi extender is 2.4G wifi.
