Not bad at all.
I've been dying my hair every color you could imagine for nearly 2 decades now. Blue is probably my most common dye job, right after good ol' plain Jane brown. As far as blue dyes go, this one is pretty good. I certainly like it better than the cheap box dye you can get at your local Walgreens. I dunno what it is about the box dye, but it seems they stain my skin and general surroundings better than it does my hair. Manic Panic doesn't stain my skin nearly as bad, and seems to be easier to get out of surfaces like my shower and bathroom sink. However, like nearly every other blue hair dye on the market, this color will fade faster than others (Reds, purples, and pinks seem to last longer and "leak" less.) Essentially, as long as your hair is still blue, your hair will leak any time it's wet. You'll want to invest in blue towels, just for drying your hair or wrapping it up until it's completely dry. This is typical of most blue dyes I've used, so it's expected. It's hard to say if this product has helped/harmed my hair quality since using as I use a lot of other products like conditioner, leave in conditioner, color protectors, etc. If I had to wager a guess, I'd say maybe my hair is a little bit shinier and softer than it was when I used the box blue dye from Walgreens that shall remain nameless. It does smell nice, as far as hair dye goes. And of course, every time I shower, my hair becomes a blue raspberry teabag that slightly stains my skin and surroundings after each wash. And you really have to make sure your hair is dry before you get it near any kind of surface- especially your bed, clothing, etc. Most of my bedding is blue anyway, so it wasn't too big of an issue when it stained a pillow case of mine. Word of advice- even if you're sure your hair is entirely dry, you'll want to invest in a sacrificial pillowcase to protect your pillows and sheets. ESPECIALLY if you're staying the night in a hotel or friend's place. Sorry, mom, for your smurftastic pillow.

LOVE the Color
I bleached my hair to a coppery color and then applied this stuff, making the color come out more green than blue. I LOVE the green this product produces; it is a forest-like green and it leaves tints of green in my non-bleached hair, which I enjoy. The color comes out like a toned-down Joker; vibrant, still, but you aren't about to lose your mind. My only gripe with this product is that it gets on EVERYTHING. I read other reviews that mentioned the same thing and I thought nothing of them, but now I know. You will need to wear gloves whenever you shower or rinse your hair for the next two weeks, you will need to constantly wash your hands if you run your hands through your hair, your neck won't be a normal color until a week or two after you dye your hair, and you will need to put a towel over your pillow if you don't want to stain it. Basically, don't wear any light clothes you would be upset having a hint of this color on them (I have a light grey Mickey sweater that I wore and, because of the stains on my neck, has permanent damage to it, but I have other clothes, like a white cardigan, where the color came right out of it after a wash, so material probably matters). Also know that your bathroom will never look the same after those first couple of rinses. Just be aware. If you have ever colored your hair, this doesn't sound new, but the level of mess and staining with this stuff is beyond what I have seen before. I have used other products that are not nearly as messy and do not stain like this one, but the color was dope and I am glad I did it anyway. BEAUTIFUL color, you just have to be dedicated to cleaning up that mess and taking precautions against it.

BEAUTIFUL
Update:I color every 14 -18 days. I've become quite a pro now haha. Got it down to a science in less time and mess. Vaseline is your friend.I LOVE this color - specially chosen to go with my eyes. I had my hair professionally bleached before coloring. This product made my hair shiny and vibrant. I have received a lot of compliments. This is an emerald/peacock green. And its stunning!I wash every 2nd to 3rd day in cool water. It still fades quickly but I also use more heat than I should when styling.DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR SKIN - if you can. I did get it on my scalp and it took a couple washes to get it off. I did wear gloves so my hands were fine. I also applied vaseline around my hair line and ears and it helped. I did a first rinse in my kitchen sink as it is stainless steel. Then I moved to the tub. My tub was blue for days until I bleached it which made the blue disappear instantly.Cover your hair WELL when sleeping or you will have a blue face and blue pillow cases. Use an old towel or shirt when drying it. Do not get caught in the rain without cover. It will bleed. If you have long hair do not wear a light colored shirt if you're going to wear your hair down. It will rub off onto the fabric. That also goes for shoulder length hair down on a collared shirt. I don't swim in public pools but I'd say avoid that too. This all sounds so negative but its soooooo worth the color and feel! Just want to give y'all a heads up. Sometimes sacrifices have to made. "Beauty is pain."

Great for taking the yellow out of my platinum hair
A little pricey for no more than you get but I like that it doesn’t damage my hair. It’s great for taking the yellow out of my platinum hair.

Amazing color, rich and deep
Amazing color! The picture really doesn’t do it justice, it’s more rich and deep in person. You definitely need to wash with cold water or else you’ll lose color. If you want a more emerald color like mine than I recommend using it on light brown hair. Mine was actually more on the of a reddish light brown and still came out great! The dye didn’t smell of chemicals and was a great texture. I would recommend a dark pillow case as well if you’re a restless sleeper or else it may end up on your pillow. Overall amazing results and worth trying, worse case it washes out soon and you try again
