Knack Mexican Cooking: A Step-By-Step Guide To Authentic Dishes Made Easy (Knack: Make It Easy)

Had to replace this book as i got it for christmas and my dog ate. Guess the pictures were so tastey she had to try for herself. So i replaced it. I am beyond excited to start using my Christmas present (when i have some downtime to cook).

This is a great book. It has illustrated easy to follow instructions of some very traditional mexican recipes. I have made several and found them to be very tasty.

I tried the recipe for Mexican rice the day after I received this book. It was easy to prepare and was very tasty. I then tried the Chile Rellenos recipe and it too was easy and tasty. Will be trying more recipes from this book soon. This book is great.

I'm getting this book for my husband because he keeps checking it out of the library. We have a few of the Rick Bayless books and love his show-- but for some reason, this is the one that he (hubby)really enjoys. The Rick Bayless books are great, too... but we just don't seem to actually cook out of them often! This is a good, basic mexican cook book. Another review said the food wasn't flavorful enough for him-- We haven't really found that, but then again-- when it comes to the seasoning, my husband tends to just toss stuff in and make it all "to taste" (and usually makes it so hot you burn your tongue out of your mouth)-- so that may be the reason! I think the recommended amounts is sort of a starting point-- "the flavor that will please most of the general consumers"-- if you just take it as a suggestion, and tweak it to your tastes-- I think you'll find some great recipes in this book!)

We think it is a really good book to help with new foods to cook. Very easy to follow

The book is a good starter. The recipes I tried were not very flavorful. I added extra seasonings the second time around.

Lots of authentic recipes that are all very tasty. My expertise with cooking Mexican was very limited prior to owning this book, but with all the great pictures and simple layout of the book it made cooking much easier. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to get into Mexican food cooking!

There are lots of good recipes but since I am a Mexican from Arizona , I already know a lot of how to cook different dishes. I do want another book to send to my grandson .
