Used the remote for the first time at the weekend, once I got the hang of connecting the camera to the remote it was a breeze to use, it was the first time of using a gopro and the remote made it very easy to operate. I liked the fact i could see what mode I was in, that I could change back and forth from video to photos, it's also really helpful that the display is clear, I had it strapped to my handlebars and I could still make out how long I had been filming for. How much battery I had left on the remote, You can also access the settings and change them with the remote, I had looked at getting the gopro remote but I didn't want to pay the money they were asking for it, this does EXACTLY what the gopro remote does for a fraction of the price, its well made and waterproof and comes with accessories and a nice soft touch bag to keep all the bits in when not in use, I can highly recommend this item, from a seller who delivered it in super quick time, save yourself some money and try it, you won't be disappointed, this remote will work with any action camera that has WiFi, you can also operate more then one camera, I bought a rubber cover for it which helps protect it from any knocks.

Does all the original Gopro remote does, does it just as well as the original and - at half the beans - top notch value. To pair it with your camera, switch the camera into pairing mode, press the red circle on the remote and hold it, then briefly press the white circle. When the arrows appear, do a little dance, let go of the red button and remote control away! Initially, it may take a few attempts, with variations, but it always works eventually.The little screen has all the info you need and the mounting is the same as the OEM Gopro remote. I might get another for my new kit too. Recommended.

This is identical to the GoPro item so not much point in telling you how it works. I will, however, endorse the fact that it does allow you to change all the settings on a Hero session that you can change on the camera itself, which I didn't think it would. Some reviewers have mentioned that this isn't possible but mine allows me to cycle through all of the video and photo modes and change the resolution, fps, looping, timelapse settings. Granted, the instructions are complete rubbish but if you use the same two button philosophy that the camera uses you won't go far wrong. Yes, the text is very small but so is the item so not much you can do about that.The only thing that didn't occur to me is that the wifi on the camera needs to be left turned on if you want the remote to wake up / turn on the camera. Obvious I guess but it does deplete the battery.......

Got this yesterday, put it on charge and left it on charge for a good few hours. Took it out today for a trial run and within an hour it was telling me that it had a low battery.I purchased it with the intention of using it on the motorbike, however, due to the design, its not really mountable to anywhere on the bike that it within easy reach of my hand and I ended up putting it inside the map pocket of my tank bag, which is far from ideal.The idea is good, however, clearly the battery is poor and the mounting options on a motorbike are somewhat limited.

far cheaper than Go Pro original and works perfectly. I had an issue with getting it to connect to the go pro but I realise that's because I don't bother reading the instructions. I have 3 GoPros mounted to my motorcycle and can turn them on and off at will rather than stopping and starting fiddling with on/off buttons
