Excellent Trail and Walking Show
Very well made, sturdy, comfortable, WIDE shoe. I need a wide shoe with good arch support. This delivered what I need. This is actually the 2nd pair of these shoes that I've purchased. Bought these because I liked the first ones so much and I admired this blue color version. Nice color!

Great hiking boots for my feet!
Man, do I love my hiking boots. No hot spots, blisters, rubbing, etc. Nice wide toe box with enough room for doubling up on socks, when needed. No breaking in necessary. Walked 90+ miles across Scotland. All terrains, in the rain. Not waterproof but no problem! Shoes dried fast! These boots are only great if you don't have plantar/foot issues. Zero drop/elev so you feel the trail under your feet. Hi top keeps the ankle secure. These are very lightweight! My feet were never sore at the end of 15+ mile day and ready to go the next day with no tiredness. Boots are true to size. I wear a 7.5 wide normally.

Excellent wide-toe option
I have been slowly converting to all wide-toe shoes after years of discomfort. I tried a pair of Keen hiking shoes, as they are supposed to be wider in the toe box than the Merrells I have always used, but I felt like my feet slid around a lot going up or down hill in the Keens. The Altras have been incredible. Soft but supportive without being stiff, no sliding around, and plenty of room for my toes to remain in a normal anatomic position. Big fan!

Love these!!
Super comfortable and durable! I put a lot of miles on these hiking and they still look pretty good after two years. I love the color but wouldn’t get this color again because they get super dirty on the trails I frequent.

Maybe my perfect shoe finally
I've been on the search for the perfect shoe for years now. Living in poverty makes that harder to afford to do than for many others. It is also hard to judge a shoe without wearing it a couple times and by that point it isn't returnable.I'm disabled from driving and walk almost everywhere I need to go to survive independently on my own. So having a good walking shoe is a must. I've gained a lot of weight so getting back into walking for exercise and not just survival has made it a struggle to find a good comfortable shoe.I was 5'8.5" and 296 lbs (now losing a lot of weight because I can walk more again with these shoes). I'm carrying around a lot. My feet measure 10.5" and the width is 4W, extra wide, whatever it measures like 4 1/8". I can typically find a comfortable shoe in length but my issue is the width part.Often so many shoes that are really comfortable for walking don't last long with me because they make the bottom sole smaller than the actual shoe. Like New Balance does. So after about a month of wearing and waking around the outside part of the shoe collapses down over the sole and I begin tripping on my own feet because it makes me walk on the outside of my feet. Yet that isn't how I walk when barefoot. So I've been searching for a good minimalist sole that also has good enough tread to last and also have good grip to not slide all over if walking on surfaces not ideal BUT also is wide width. Having them look nice and be in my office of affordability is a must too.I've bought New Balance, Fittville, Vionic, Sketchers, Saucony, this minimalist military boot that had Vibram soles, and Vibram 5 fingers in this search. All of them either sucked horribly or just barely didn't suck horribly and see barely passible. But these Altra shoes are just simply amazing. I love the iceberg blue color, though they do get dirty easy, but I'll take that. The sole is wide enough. Both inside and on the bottom. I don't even need to wear additional insoles for comfort. Being as overweight as I am I have minimal foot pain after walks now. They lace up nicely and I like the high top design for giving me extra stability. I don't see the outside of my foot slowly going over the side of the bottom sole like other shoes yet the bottom sole isn't thick and clunky like other shoes that provided support to not do that. Like Fittville shoes didn't make my foot fall over the sides, but the bottom sole is thick and makes me feel like I'm stomping around like Frankenstein's monster. My only dislike is I think they are a little too big. I'm going to buy another pair and size down a half size and see how that fits. So I normally wear 10.5 in women's and will try 10 next purchase. I'll update my review when I find out which size fits better. Not sure if 10 will be too small and what I feel is too big is actually what my other shoes should have been all along for comfort. Mostly the being bigger is an aesthetic issue, not comfort. It just looks a little floppy in the toe box area and I think it'll look better a bit smaller. But could be wrong. At the value on these I can afford to buy multiple pairs at once anyway. I intend to buy the beige color as well. Wish they'd make other colors too. Like muted pastel colors like the iceberg blue color. I'd buy them all up.Edit: I've since bought another pair and love them just as much. First pair was the ice blue in size 10.5. The color was amazing but the size a little too big as I stated previously in the review. They lasted almost a year on minimal walking. I think once I start exercising more they don't last 6 months. Which is ok. These shoes are worth it.This time I bought a size 10. To get ice blue it would be way more expensive than buying the beige even though I didn't think I wanted that color. Well I need to pinch money and decided to just be unhappy with the color. Indoors the beige is kind of ugly. But outside it is a beautiful muted sage color. It definitely has green in the pigment and isn't true beige. I took a picture in the shade outside then in the light. My phone camera sucks so you can't see in the image just how green it is in person but y'all need to trust me. The 10 seemed like a better choice at the time, but as I've worn them in I begin feeling a pinch on my foot near my pinky toe area. I pulled back out my 10.5 and wore them again and felt the difference. I'll continue getting the 10.5. the extra room in the toe box really helps keep my feet in its most natural state while still being protected from the elements of a human society.

Cute but squishy
Pros:-wide toe box-cute-seemingly well madeCon:-extremely squishy. So heavily cushioned that it actually seems to throw my stability off. I understand having some cushion for rough terrain hiking (unlike my very thin wide toe box sneakers for every day), but this is more than any shoe and too much.

Comfort from the start
Shoes are lightweight, comfortable (my feet never hurt in them), true to size, well made, love the wide toe box. Material very breathable. not meant for warmth so if your feet get cold or you’re going on a wintery hike/trail I wouldn’t recommend them.

Most Comfortable Shoe EVER!
I had these shoes in my cart for a long time waiting for the price to come down a bit. I'm so glad I got them! These things are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had on my feet. I've only done a few short hikes in them, so I can't speak to their durability yet, but so far I'm very impressed!
