Such a well rounded companion blade
Absolute gem of a carry knife. It's robust. It's thick. The grind is tall so it still slices well. The sheath is good. The steel is good. No grip texture so it carries extraordinary IWB. This knife is boring how reliable it is. Only issue (if you can call it that) is that this knife needs a much lower bevel than what ships from the factory to get it really sharp. This knife doesn't like like the ultimate EDC fixed blade from photos but once you get it in your hands and on your belt, it makes sense. It disappears on your belt because of that smooth flat handle so it's always there when you need it

Can’t beat the quality for the price
Great quality. Extremely sharp! The handle could be a bit more comfortable but that being said it will never wear out.

A bargain at this price
I’ve recently started carrying small fixed blades in place of folders on the job site, mostly due to their strength by the nature of their design, and also because some fixies seem to be made to take a beating. This one falls into that category. And the fact that everything is made of metal (besides the sheath of course), you’re not going to worry about damaging your scales. I wasn’t sure though if I was going to like a blade that didn’t have scales on it, but honestly, the knife feels pretty good in the hand. It’s okay, though, being that the handle portion is a bit thicker than the blade area, so it doesn’t feel bad at all. I did however core some 550 cord and wrapped the handle and it made a big difference. I don’t think that you’ll have to worry about hot spots in either configuration. Every video seemed to go on about just how “shaving sharp” the knife came out of the box. Mine wasn’t. But a few minutes on a Worksharp Field Sharpener (about 5 strokes per side with the coarse stone and around 10 per side on the fine, followed up on a strop using green compound, and the hairs on my legs were just falling off. Nice to see that this one is going to be so easily maintained. For a sub-$40 knife, I’m pretty impressed. I own Lionsteel, Benchmade, Esse, TJ Schwarz, etc. fixed blades, and those are the brands you expect to be top-tier production blades. Depending on the toughness and edge retention I’m hoping to see on this blade due to the 52100 steel, Cold Steel might have hit a home run on this one.
