Bought this as a wall lamp but can't get to the switch when it's on the wall, any suggestions????

My son has this standing so not on a wall, can only suggest that you turn off at the plug.

Is it the same size as the Marvel version?

Yes. You can stand 6-7 inch figures on it if you like.
