Good watch

Great acting, plot slightly unbelievable, but worth the watch.

We were rubbing our eyes in disbelief at many of the twists in this plot. Why didn’t they just…….?But the acting was good and that kept us going.

I am used to British crime series and police procedurals being in a class of their own. "Vera", "Touching Evil", "Wire in the Blood", "Blue Murder", "No Offence"... They are all very different, but all of them have a lot going for them: Intellignet scripts, excellent actors and solid direction.I wanted to like "The Drowning", but I felt the slight story did not demand four episodes. The acting was more varied than I am used to in British series - even Deborah Findlay struggled to connect with the material, and she is a solid actress in my book.If you want to get to the meat of the story, by all means watch this once. But I can almost guarantee that you will have no wish to ever watch it again. The strongest card the production holds is Rupert Penry-Jones, who shows class and depth as usual.

Brilliant.

A badly scripted and plotted load of unbelievable nonsense padded out with a ludicrous plot about presumably Central European gangsters that doesn’t go anywhere. The series is full of absurd scenes where daft things happen to the unsympathetic central character. What a waste of a good budget and some first rate actors. The ending was laughingly bad and totally illogical. Don’t waste your time and money on this turkey!t

As soon as i saw the trailer on tv i thought and said to myself that looks amazing omg i really need to watch it i was a fan of jill halfpenny since she was in coronation street and eastendersThis show had me gripped from the very 1st episode and watched them all so many twists and turns totally incredible drama i highly recommend this for everyone to watch
