Hawke Frontier ED X 10x42 Binocular - Grey

I've had some binoculars in my time, Zeiss Bushnell opticron but these outshine them all. Very bright and sharp. Lovely feel to them. Not too heavy. Focus wheel is very easy to turn and quick to focus. These are the best binoculars I've ever used. I used to have the older Hawke Frontiers but these new ED X are just superb. Buy a pair today you won't be disappointed.

Build quality is excellent. Image quality is even better. I have a pair of Steiner Predator 10x40AF and these make my Steiners look bad. Light collection is better than I’ve ever seen in a 10x40 and I can’t detect any colour fringing at all. If I had to come up with a criticism, it would be that the depth of field is quite shallow, which means you need to be pretty precise with focussing. That said, the focus wheel feels really solid with just the right amount of friction. I’m very, very impressed with these binoculars.

Perfect for bird watching

The pro reviews convinced me to buy these binoculars. They are very sharp, bright, well constructed...superb. I reckon the price point given their specification is excellent. Time to enjoy using them.
