So far so good
I installed it on my 1995 silverado. I wasn't getting spark and the ignition module worked with no issues so far.

fixed my limp mode transmission.
I was having issues with my 1993 Chevy k1500 4l60e throwing a code 17 on the obd1 (shorting the pins under the dash). the truck ran fine but the transmission would go into "limp" mode and lock into third gear. I done a ton of research and code 17 on this era of truck references this part. The ECM can't get spark information so it puts the transmission into limp mode. (Googling code 17 9/10 times will come back with cam position sensor even though the 1993 doensn't have one). I put this on and cleared the codes. The transmission went back to normal and the codes stayed away. Also, I bought this one and one from NAPA because after I got the NAPA one someone told me that the Delphi would last longer. I decided to get this one and return the other one. The delphi felt "'heftier". I laid them on kitchen scales and the Delphi was 2.4 ounces and the NAPA one was 1.7. So its got more of something in it.

Delphi quality
Good quality but no thermal grease with it Bought a high quality thermal paste used with computer chips. Some paste are better than what you will receive with product. Do homework.

Failed with OBD1 code 42 after a few miles
The Delphi brand should represent quality. Yet, after less than 10 miles, this ignition module failed with OBD1 code 42 in my '89 Chevy Suburban, 5.7liter TBI. The onboard computer reacted by going into limp mode, retarding the ignition. The motor would also stop firing the spark plugs - either at a stop light, or even at 65mph on the highway with no notice of symptoms. Once it left me on the side of the road, but luckily restarted after a few minutes. Another time the motor stopped firing, and as I coasted to the breakdown lane, the ignition fired back up and I was OK to continue and go home. I replaced the original GM module so I would have a spare in an emergency. Now, I'm back to the original, working perfectly again. I may try the AC Delco brand, even at twice the cost. FYI - I also tried two other ignition modules from AutoZone / Duralast. Both failed with the same OBD1 code 42 failure. Pros: price Cons: immediate failure / no reliability

My jeep runs - what more can I say
CJ7 with an AMC 360 and TBI. Converted from fuel only to ignition controlled timing, so needed one of these to do so. Finding pigtails was difficult, but this baby worked just perfect.

it died within 3 weeks not saying it’s a bad brand, they all pretty much suck but sooner or later you’ll get a good one
