Perfect Basket!
I got this to put on my commute-to-work cruiser bike so I can put my backpack or whatever in it on the way to/from work. It's a perfectly sized basket for what I need. It's fairly deep, and not too wide, and perfectly fits my small backpack. It seems pretty sturdy. I've left it with the bike chained up outside for hours between July and now (mid October) in all sorts of weather, and it has not rusted yet or anything like that. It's pretty easy to attach to the bike, or at least I think it is, my husband did it haha... and it seems attached pretty well for the most part, though it does move around a tiny bit, but I think my husband can tighten it if he feels so inclined. It's not a huge basket if you're looking for something big, but it works great for me. I've actually managed to bring a cake to work in it, by putting the large cake holder in kind of at an angle. It did not fall out! Also I think it looks adorable, and you can take that ugly handle thing off easily.

Sturdy Basket, however…
The basket itself is of good quality. It holds my 10lbs, 2.5 year old dog safe and secure. The issue that I encountered is that the velcro strap that holds the basket in place is somewhat cheap. It tore after several uses and made the basket rub against the front tire, which made it impractical to keep the dog in it because I didn’t want the tire to damage. I ended up sewing the strap by hand and it turned out pretty sturdy. I went on a bike ride today and the strap and basket stayed in place even with the added weight of my dog. I’m just wondering how long it will take before it gives again. Overall, it is a good basket for the price. I wish the velcro strap was sturdier, though. If you’re only planning on using the basket for random items such as your phone, keys, snacks, and beverage then the strap should be ok and not tear.

Generally a good basket - with slight annoyances
First of all, I find this basket really useful. I have attached it to my bike predominantly to store my work backpack in it - no more sweaty backs. The installation itself is pretty straightforward and can be done within 10 or so minutes - I had to move around some shifter and break cables so that the handle-hooks fit properly over the handlebar. Given the mounting (some other larger baskets have more robust mounting brackets to the front axle), I was not surprised that it has some slight movements. That mainly explained the weight restriction. Putting larger items inside the basket, everything seems pretty secured, albeit the biking experience changes significantly with less maneuverability due to the front-heavy setup (the same fate as other front-loading baskets). The one pet peeve I have with this basket is the thin "handle", which is supposed to make this basket similar to those you find in stores. Given the preparation to attach it to the bike, it just seems not practical to always remove and re-attach the basket when needed. Thus I don't really understand the handle on this basket - it usually makes some rattling sound when biking and has no real apparent utility for me. Given the pricepoint, I will give this a 4* - its a good and affordable basket that does its job with some oddities in the overall design that I think there are better alternatives for.

Perfect basket.
I'm an older lady that likes to ride my bike a lot, but casually. I like to ride places if I can, rather than drive. This holds lots of stuff and even a small bag of groceries. Nothing falls through (cell phone!). It went on pretty easy once I realized I had to position it under all the wires in front. The wires just rest on it and no problem taking things in or out. If you're a serious biker going on long rides come hell, high winds or rain, then obviously this isn't for you. But if you're a grandma riding around the summer campground with your grandson or taking a nice relaxing ride with your sister to the beach, this will do the trick! Fits my towel, Kindle, water bottle, etc. Glad I purchased.

Durable and affordable bike basket,
This basket fits perfectly on most bikes. I like the way it looks, the size and how easy it can be installed and taken off. This is a very affordable bike basket which is very durable.

Can be a slight pain on a mountain bike but very roomy
Bought this for my wife's bike. Only fair, I have the child on the back of mine so she should have the support kit on hers. On a mountain bike it is rough getting this on. You must lean it back and then let it fall into the cables on the handle bar, and other than that it is a great basket. It has a couple hooks on top for the handlebars and on the bottom it has a bracket for holding it out straight. The bracket has a fastener that allows it to wrap the tube and keep it held to the bike. It is a roomy basket, on the trail it holds a small toolkit, an extra couple diapers, wipes, a small cooler with cold water and a phone charger. It does this like a champ. The directions say no more than 25 pounds. It has a tight mesh so nothing falls out. I am posting a picture to help you see what you are getting by having a standard gallon jug in it. We are happy with our purchase.

As described, good quality. We installed it permanently with tie wraps so it would move and rub paint off the bike.

Mine arrived without any instructions and looked like it had been returned, which is not surprising because it's so hard to get any details from any online source. So as a public service, here you go. To start, the Amazon listing offers dimensions labeled as centimeters, which is clearly wrong, and the listing is actually for four different Bell handlebar baskets and most of the reviews don't say which one they bought. Mine is the Tote 510 Black. It's 12 inches (30 cm) from the bottom of the basket to the top of the handlebar hooks (1st picture); you need a bigger distance than that from the top of your handlebars to your front tire or fender or it will not work. (I added some cheap clear plastic tubing to the hooks to protect my handlebars.) The hooks are just about 4 inches (10 cm) apart horizontally (pic 2), so you'll need your bars clear at those points. The hooks are not bendable, which is good but that means if your bars are thicker than 1 inch (2.5 cm) as is often the case, the hooks won't fit. The unique thing about this basket is the adjustable spacer/bracket that sticks out near the bottom, which holds the basket away from your bike's head tube so it's level and doesn't bounce or compress your brake cables (pic 3). It's held against the head tube with a velcro strap with a sleeve that allows the bracket to slide as you turn your handlebars (pic 5). Not all bikes will have an appropriate space on the head tube for the strap; you'll need about a 3/4 " wide space about 10 " below the handlebars to wrap the strap around. I had to sew on extra velcro strap to get it to fit securely around my fat head tube. Taking the basket on and off requires carefully un/doing the velcro strap, and when off you're left with the bracket flapping around on the bottom; I use the velcro to secure the bracket to the basket if I take it into a store, which is awkward but adequate. All that said, I couldn't find anything else to fit my bike that didn't cost three or four times more. It's a low tech solution, but it works.
