Excellent kettle, flawed description.
Product claims to be 'by AAUU'. The one I received is not, it is by 'AICOOK'. AICOOK appears to be an acronym of 'Attractive Ideal Cooking Operator of Kitchen', whatever that is supposed to mean! (see photo of box)The quoted 'Item Weight 1.73 kg' is not particularly helpful as this is the total weight of kettle, base and box. The kettle itself weighs 1.16 kg.I was surprised to receive the parcel without an outer protective box. The delivery label was simply pasted onto the kettle's box. However the kettle is well protected with foam top and bottom so there was no damage. A positive step really in reducing packaging, but unusual. The temperature settings work very well indeed, when the kettle is full. There are only two level marks on the inside of the kettle, min and max. Min is about 0.5 litre and max is as advertised, 1.7 litres. You can operate the kettle below the min mark, but the temperature control is much less accurate. At the 40, 60 and 90 degree settings the heating cuts off 2 degrees below the target which results in very accurate final temperatures (within 1 degree C). For 100 degrees it keeps going to a rolling boil at 100 degrees before cutting off. The kettle's insulation maintains the temperature for a long time so I question the need for the 'keep warm' function. This function works on all 4 temperature settings, not just the 40, 60 and 90 degree settings as advised in the manual, and kicks in as soon as the temperature drops below the target minus 2. Comparison temperatures taken with a Thermapen Classic with a claimed accuracy of ±0.4°C.My only real gripe is the difference between the LED display shown in the pictures, both on the website and on the box, and the actual display. Do not expect pure white solid figures! The display is in fact a pale blue colour made up of numerous individual LEDs under the surface (see photo). The display is very clear and not a problem at all, just not what is advertised! The LEDs on the right of the display are significantly brighter than the others. The other difference from the website 'photos' is the large AICOOK logo under the buttons. Again, not an issue to me, but not as advertised.Overall, 5 stars. It drops a star for energy efficiency as the suggested minimum level is still quite a lot of water, more than needed for a single cup of tea. It also drops a star for noise as it is relatively noisy compared to previously owned kettles, though not an issue for me. Great kettle, thoroughly recommended!Update: After a few weeks' use I am still delighted with this kettle. Descaling is very simple as the inside is smooth and there are no filters to remove. Just one caution: the touch sensitive buttons are VERY sensitive! In fact, you don't need to touch them, just get your finger close to the side of the kettle. This also applies to anything else on your kitchen counter, so brushing past or pushing the kettle next to another item can easily get it started. Something to be wary of if you leave the kettle empty.

Heats quickly - looks smart
This is a great kettle with different temperatures, only downside is it could do with a water gauge on the outside instead of having to look at water level inside.

Great kettle for tea drinkers
My girlfriend drinks so many cups of tea in a day and with energy prices soaring I thought I would get this. We have saved on electric as we put kettle on keep warm and it does the trick.

Not a good kettle for accurate temperature control.
Not a good Kettle or even a very "smart" one.. I bought this to heat my water up to specific temperatures and it can't even effectively heat liquid up to the preset temperatures, so unless there is a fault in my model, I would consider this product dysfunctional right out of the box for all who use it for such means. The temperature control only has a few settings, and the kettle will continue heating up after the temperature has been reached, meaning the only thing that is useful on this kettle is the temperature gauge, which is the only reason I am not returning it.I have no idea how accurate it is, but different teas need different temperatures, so when the kettle starts boiling over the mark I simply add a little cold water to balance it out or try to turn it off before it reaches that point. If you want a kettle that boils your water to the temperature you desire, without having to strategically turn it off at certain times, or add cold water yourself stay away from this one, it does not do what it says on the tin.

Mains Lead Wrong Size, 500mL Minimum Fill And Designed For Right Handed People Only
I must admit to not noticing at first the kettle only has 0.75mm mains lead which is rated at a maximum load of 6 amps. (well in countries with safety standards). The kettle load is about 10 amps. You will note in use the flex gets warm and if you have any excess coiled in the base I would unwind it to help it dissipate the heat and reduce the risk of the cable insulation melting.Note my picture of the three plugs, this kettle is the thin one in the middle.I was also surprised the minimum fill level amounts to 500mL which is means if there is one of you you have to heat more water than you need wasting energy.Speaking of energy, after the display turns off it still uses 0.7 Watt so best to turn it off at the socket outlet to save a couple of pounds a year on your electricity bill.Something else I never considered is that I am left handed and this kettle is totally biased to right handers. The display / controls being on one side rather than the rear and even the water fill marks inside are biased for right handed people.

Brill for people with a new baby
Absolutely fantastic! We got one to replace our old one and wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. The baby setting is spot on temp for our little ones bottles and she's happy as Larry to drink it at the 40° mark from the keep warm setting it recommends for babies feeds as soon as it drops below the designated temp we set it at it re-boils it's self to just above temperature couldn't recommend this product enough!

Not enough pre-set temperatures
The kettle is very nice but pre-set temperatures have a big gap from 60 to 90. With most things being in the 80s for hot drinks it misses a point. Also when it gets to the temperature it turns off but it still keeps rising, this maybe the same with other kettles but this one displays the temperature on its front, so you know. It keeps the water hot though and the outside is always cool to touch. A good buy as steel inside so no micro plastics in the water.
