I sometimes attach my 10-year-old Toshiba Tecra laptop (running Windows 7) to my 15-20 year-old Polaroid flatscreen TV, using an old HDMI cable from my 10+ year old Sony blu-ray player. With that setup, I can view the Toshiba's MP4 files on my flatscreen TV. Then I used this new Soonsoonic HDMI extension cord, with a new Mogood HDMI coupler, to create an extension between the old HDMI cable and my Toshiba Tecra. It did not work. My Toshiba could not send signals to the TV through this extension setup. Then I used this same extension setup with my 1-year-old Lenovo laptop (running Windows 11). Now it worked. I was able to view MP4 files from the Lenovo on my old Polaroid flatscreen TV. So there's something in this extension setup (the Soonsoonic HDMI cable or the Mogood coupler) that doesn't like either my old Toshiba or Windows 7. But if you're running from a newer laptop, with Windows 11, you should have no problems.

It worked for the place I needed it to. I needed something to extend the length to fit my monitor for my security camera’s monitor. It was easy to install, reasonably priced and the picture quality was great!

This is a quality cable that meets it's throughput claims. Excellent video quality no stutters or tearing. Excellent audio quality for eARC and ARC. The braided cable is stiff at first, but bendable, so that's actually nice. It holds a shape somewhat. Like a gentle 90° bend with a curve, not a hard pinching 90° bend. I have this cable for my smart TV and soundbar ARC audio connections. I tested this cable with my computer to soundbar eARC and it worked great. I also purchased a 6ft version of this HDMI cable to use for my custom computer and monitor setup.
