Q: How do we refill the pods? What liquid do we purchase?

Need to go to the tiki brand website to buy replacement pods You will have to buy the base light string for $160. To answer your question a pack of 3 replacement pods is for $70 A string of lights has 3 pods. Each pod will last 200 hours or so. A set of plastic balls float in the fluid of the pod to show you how much you have left. The effective range to cover is 330 square feet for a 1 string of lights. Meanwhile over with thermacell you will pay roughly $40 for a device that covers 314 square ft for only 40 hours. A replacement pack will cost you $40 for three new cartridges for a total of 120 hours. That means if you will be spending more then 120 hours(5 days or 15 days outside for 8 hours or 30 days outside for 4 hours) in your yard this spring/summer then the lights are a great choice for the long term. Also Tiki led string lights also brighten up a space however the Thermacell is more portable.
