Make sure of what type of hinge system you have. Also correct size.
Being the correct part and going on so easy. Start inside camper, unscrew the trim 4 screws. Open the vent, then remove the knob screw, then pull knob to remove off of spline groves. Pull screen towards center at slots, to release. Remove screen and then the 2 screws for the rasing and lowering vent mechanism. Then reach up and slide groved bracket ( hold groved bracket while pushing vent all the way open.) Now go to the roof with new vent cover. Be careful. At the center where it hinges look for the metal retaining clip,using a flat head screwdriver carefully pry it off. (Save for replacing later) The cover has to be completely open so that it touches the roof. Start on one side carefully pulling, and if needed using a flat head screwdriver to separate at hinge open ended groves. Remove and replace with new one. Now put metal retaining clip back on. The rest step by step in reverse operation.

It works but...
These are extremely flimsy. No where near as heavy or thick as the originals. They installed fairly easy since they flexed alot. The smoke is not dark at all and either the packaging (there was no packing material at all in a big box with 2 of these it it just bouncing around off each other) or manufacting but I didn't notice this hairline Crack until after installing. For the price you'd expect more..but these days you get less and pay more..

Better Instructions Needed, But Excellent Replacement Part
Fit perfectly, but the instructions need to be a bit more detailed as it took me a while to understand what the 'garnish trim' was!!! Turns out that's the entire bottom part of the frame that screws into the ceiling of the camper. Also, the retainer clip is in the middle of the hinge. Will purchase a second one to replace the other vent hood that's just as old but has not failed/cracked yet.

There not as dark as the original ones.
They fit perfectly They were not quite as dark as the original ones but they work.
