Great mouse, feels good in the hand
Great mouse, feels good in the hand, very responsive, love how easy it is to recharge (basically just turns into a wired mouse for a bit), the software offers plenty of settings and is easy to use. The left and right mouse clicks require a bit more force than normal to click, I assume this is an intentional design decision to prevent misclicks from gamers that rest their fingers on the buttons (like me) instead of hovering their fingers over. It's taken some getting used to but is probably the best overall design. There's a strange bit of flex in the plastic covering of the mouse that causes some vibration in the pinky side of the mouse, not a big deal but just creates an odd feeling when you squeeze the mouse (like when you pick it up to move it). Not sure if this is a design issue or just a weird thing with my particular mouse. I'd only take off a half star for this if I could, it doesn't affect the performance of the mouse at all but just is an annoying thing that can make the mouse feel "cheap" even though the rest of it is totally rock solid. Updating this review to 5 stars, the mouse is still going strong after years of heavy use. The issues with the stiffness of the clicks and the mouse chassis feeling loose have completely gone away, I guess the little fella just needed some breaking in.

Best Mouse That I've Ever Used
This mouse is pretty much everything that I wanted it to be. The shape of the mouse reminds of the rare moments when you find a pair of pants that fits perfectly. The scroll wheel reminds me of crunch peanut butter. It is very smooth but has that "crunch" where it's needed. In other words, it scrolls smoothly but it also has that kinda snappy feel that other scroll wheels have. It's the perfect balance. The battery life is great. It's more than enough to last a long day at the office. However, there are some things that I wish were different. Without the weight, the mouse has about the same weight as that of a generic optical mouse. However, due to the shape, I found that I kept lifting it up ever so slightly. I added the 10 gm weight which solved that issue. However, 10 gm felt like it was a too much. I quickly got used to it and don't even notice that it's just slightly heavier than I'd like, but I think that I would like a 6 gm weight more. The mouse seems very much geared toward office use, so the color changing lights seemed like a strange choice but whatever. However, I also game with it and works great for that. But I do find that I sometimes wish that it had maybe two more buttons. The software that comes with it is great; however, I wish that it provided a way of binding actions to multi-button events (e.g. left click + right click). But those are all minor gripes. If I had to get another mouse, I'd get this same one again. If you plan on moving around a lot (e.g. using a laptop), you should definitely get the wireless version. However, if it's going to sit on your office desk all day every day, there's little reason to pitch in for the wireless feature.

100% worth the price, best mouse I've ever used, but be warned: it might come scuffed even if bought new
Having used the Logitech G400 for 3 years prior to this mouse, I was glad to see an evolution on the type of mouse that worked so well for me for so long. I was tired of using a wireless mouse, so I spent quite some time finding the best wireless mouse possible. This means I wanted a mouse that was accurate enough to play games, but also have a decent battery life. The G403 is just that, and cheaper than the only other mouse that met my criteria which was the Logitech G900. I'm loving my G403 mouse but BE WARNED: you might get a mouse that is covered in fingerprints and light scratches. I think that Loigtech dropped the ball on the quality control of their early G403 batches so there is a very high chance of getting a scuffed up mouse when you order one from Amazon at least. Thankfully, Amazon let me return the mouse no questions asked and I got a replacement in 2 days in near-mint condition. The scuffed up mouse was probably fine, but for the price I paid for this product, I expected a brand spanking new product, not one showing that it was handled by the people who made it without and gloves on (or whatever else caused it to be scuffed up, maybe it was listed to Amazon as new when it was actually used). Anyway, if you manage to get this mouse, you won't be disappointed. It is 100% worth the higher price because it works as well as my old wired mouse, but has a long battery (24 hours with moderate use and the lights on) and feels great in my normal sized, leaning on large hands.

I purchased the Logitech G403 after trying more than my fair share of mice, G602, DeathAdder (Original), DeathAdder 2015, SteelSeries Rival (Original), Mionix Naos, Microsoft Habu, Microsoft Intellimouse. For me personally the best shape and overall layout I experienced was the DeathAdder, The best sensor I've experienced is the G403, the best overall build quality has been the SteelSeries Rival but the G403 won me over because I was fed up with cord drag bothering me while I was gaming. The reason why I wasn't able to stick with wireless was because when I tried the G602 while it functioned well it did not function flawlessly and tracked irregularly and had issues with responsiveness in comparison to a wired mouse. In comparison, the G403 responds as well as every wired gaming mouse I've tried and if it isn't I can't tell. The shape wasn't terribly difficult to get used to coming from a SteelSeries Rival and took me about two days of moderate usage to get the hang of it. The sensor is similar to the SteelSeries Rival but it doesn't seem to have ANY tracking irregularities which the Rival would experience very infrequently (maybe once every 50ish hours). The battery life of the G403 is roughly 32 hours with the setup I'm using, if you are interested in getting the most out of your mouse I would personally recommend turning down the brightness to roughly 40% and turning on breathe mode with a basic color which took my lightning power usage estimate in their software from 16mA (28 hour charge) to 3-4mA for a total of 32-hours of wireless functioning. In total, I've had to charge this mouse because it was nearing 20% charge remaining a total of twice in a month of heavy usage by simply plugging it in when I was cooking, at work or walking my dog. The charge time is roughly an hour and a half to get a full charge from 15% - 20% which is terrific considering the overall battery life in wireless mode can extend well over 24 hours of usage. The mouse also powers itself off when used for an unknown duration, I wish this was more clearly provided in terms of documentation on the power consumption page, perhaps with user settings to adjust the delay to lower or higher settings depending on a users preference. The only downside I have is the battery life being drained by System at a rate of 71 mA, it bothers me because I don't know what is draining it, if Logitech would include what is draining it such as application integration, macros, key shortcuts, etc so people could reduce this further I would find that helpful. In all likelihood, this is just the required about of power consumption for the mouse to function and nothing can / will be done to further optimize it. Personally, this is the first Wireless Gaming Mouse I have ever used that is completely comparable to the wired alternative, it functions flawlessly in wireless mode and has no differences between its Wireless/Wired mode other than the usage of its battery. If you are looking for a terrific gaming mouse with a great sensor and would like to avoid cable drag the G403 thus far is the best gaming mouse I have ever used even in comparison to my beloved SteelSeries Rival.

Undoubtedly the price tag for this mouse is quite high but as an avid gamer(FPS, MOBA, RTS), there is no mouse I would rather have. I've used the Deathadder, Rival, and the IE3 and this mouse is definitely the best feeling mouse I've purchased so I'll just compare them briefly. Compared to the Razor Deathadder, this one is slimmer and fits better for smaller/medium sized hands from what I remember. (It also probably lasts longer.. Razor products aren't very good in the long term in my experience) Compared to the Steelseries Rival 300, it fits infinitely better in the hand. The Rival is a great mouse but it is awkward at first and only becomes okay once you get used to it. Once I put my hands on the G403 I remembered how a mouse should feel in your hands. Also the sides rub/wear out on certain versions and it's kind of annoying. Compared to the IE3, the G403 just fits better for me. It definitely depends on your hand size. If you have bigger than average hands I suggest you try it out before buying but otherwise you cannot go wrong with this mouse. The wireless feature is amazing. I've never had a wireless gaming mouse but it is a really easy feature to use and I feel no delay or change in tracking between wired and wireless. If you don't mind the price, this mouse is an amazing purchase for any gamer and I would definitely recommend it.

+Build quality is top notch. Good quality rubber sides, smooth plastic. Side buttons are tactile enough. +Simple mouse. No BS like Heart Rate monitors etc +Not sure I like the right hand sculpted body over ambidextrous designs like the G900. +Mouse will last over 20+ hrs on the most consuming light settings. I don't really care about RGB. +Mouse will standby if not in use. +No latency during any on/off and wire connection/disconnection +Battery life indicator on the scroll wheel. Nice. -Weight. At just over 100g it is still heavy after long term use compared to my old mouse that is around 90g for FPS. Yes its very noticeable. -$$$ Its priced very well compared to the competition for the level of performance. But its still not yet a mainstream price, yet. TL;DR Deathadder clone but wireless.

The mouse works well and is responsive but the battery life is atrocious. I find myself having to charge it nearly every day. For a $100 dollar mouse, I expected the battery to be a bit longer lasting

Pros: - Great left/right mouse buttons, pleasant, easy to press for single clicks and multiple clicks. - Side buttons are easy to reach and click. - "Soft-notched" scroll wheel (I like it). - Comfortable shape and surface texture (smooth but grippy). - Lightweight considering its size. - Smooth glide. - Intuitive tracking and flawless wireless performance (tested 5 days, receiver on the desk). Cons: - Heavy middle mouse/scroll wheel button. - Maybe a little tall, I usually prefer lower profile mice. Comments: I have medium-size hands (19 cm from wrist crease to fingertip, 9 cm across the palm). The mouse was connected to a Mac dual-booting into Mac OS 10.13.4 and Windows 10. I have RSI issues and this the most comfortable mouse I tried (other mice I tested, in order of most to least comfortable: Logitech G203, Razer DeathAdder, Nixeus Revel, Logitech MX Master 2, Logitech M705). I work with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, and the middle mouse button is frequently used to pan a drawing and orbit a model. Because it requires so much force to press down, I returned the mouse. Too bad, because I really liked it otherwise.
