Delivers WAY MORE than expected - 5 STARS
Back in the early 2000's I was using a 2 Channel Tascam. Boy have things changed, and The Scarlett by Focusrite is THE BEST product on the market right now. I've got the18i8 and I absolutely love it. Coupled with Reaper and Loopback on my Mac I can achieve in studio sound quality from the comfort of my own home.The controls are intuitive, and don't feel cheap (like my Tascam did) - the product is TOP NOTCH. Highly Recommend - 5 STARS all around.

Solid, Clear, Attractive, and Fun.
I am super happy with this audio interface. I upgraded from a second gen 2i2 and this is a great successor. First off, Focusrite made a great online setup experience. They get you going with what you need in a fun, personal, and streamlined way. The build is solid and attractive. I love the look of the front panel, the grey volume knob and glossy faceplate look great on my desk, and the lights indicating what functions you’re using is a nice touch.On to the sound. It sounds great. Crystal clear and clean. What you put in you get out. I’ve got my analog synth, guitar, bass, and vocal all hooked up and they all sound great.The mixer software that comes with it is easy and useful. You can control the output of the independent headphone jacks as well as the volume of everything plugged in to it. For me this was a nice surprise.Overall, whether you make music or podcast, this is a great audio interface for the bedroom producer.

I use this unit for my podcast business. I'm buying a couple more for my other 2 podcast rooms. Hooking it up was a breeze and the unit is super quiet and does its job flawlessly.
